Definitely hardest working man in sports. Kobe haters are as vicious as any in the world. They'll take shots at the guy when he goes out with a possible career ending injury, smh
You need to get out more. People take shots at Kobe for good reasons. Hell, his Phil Jackson had written two books detailing the issues he had with him. It doesn't take away from Kobe's greatness, but you can't act like there isn't a reason he is such a polarizing figure.
So going back on the thread topic, here is an article posted 3 hours ago titled "Lakers trainer: Kobe aiming for start of season return" http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...os-angeles-lakers-kobe-bryant-injury/2079849/
Kobe Bryant Undergoes Successful Surgery EL SEGUNDO — Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who injured his left Achilles tendon late in the fourth quarter of last night’s 118-116 victory over Golden State, had an MRI exam this morning which confirmed a torn Achilles tendon. After confirmation of the injury, Bryant elected to have surgery to repair the torn left Achilles tendon. The successful surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache and Dr. Stephen Lombardo of the Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Group. Recovery time is expected to be a minimum of six to nine months.
Can't say I'm too broken up over the injury. I appreciate his work ethic and tenacity but I never appreciated his game as a fan. Jordan, Magic, Dream, Lebron...those guys were amazing to watch. Kobe always seemed like a watered down, poor man's version of MJ. The NBA will forget about him in record time thanks to guys like Lebron and Durant.
That is because he is a water downed poorer version of Jordan. Having said that, I will give Kobe this, he had surgery 12 hours after the accident.. Other athletes waited days or longer... Kobe wants to get the rehab going ASAP.
I'm telling you, that site is just a big joke on all of us. It must be run by Celtic fans to make us think Laker fans are crazy!
Dominick Cruz from the UFC had a failed knee surgery. http://www.bjpenn.com/cruz-surgery-failed-champ-out-another-6-9-months-ufc-news/
I got banned from that site for posting that the Lakers have been getting the benefit of the doubt from the refs for years and years in a thread where the fans were complaining Kobe gets no calls lol. Laker fans....
To get where Kobe is he has had to work hard. He didn't just land in the NBA. Who cares if he isn't struggling like some regular man working 9-5. That doesn't mean Kobe isn't a hardworker.
