exactly. this guy is living in luxury playing the game he loves. not even close to one of the hardest working men. in terms of basketball, yes, but in real life outside of basketball? no...

Kobe is the hardest working man in the entire universe. Don't you see all those brick monuments, wonders of the world in their own right, Mamba built for a meagre return of millions of $ and a fistful of hoes? Hater!

Just a history revisionists... How many basketball players have completely ruptured their achilles completely and come back in 6 months? I'll tell you since im sure you have an inkling. The answer is NONE, and for the record, Vitti said 6-9 months for it to heal/recover.

As far as being back to where he was before the injury? Yes it will take longer than 6 months.

He did not play on it for a while, as soon as he felt something wrong he shot his FTs and Gasol fouled someone right away so Kobe could exit the game.

I'm sorry if your life is miserable and you have to wake up to go your job/jobs in order to take care of your 5-x amount of children, but does that really have anything to do his OWN work ethic?

And can you tell me what is real life work anyway? Going to the office working a 9-6 everyday? Being stuck in traffic and coming home only to have to study for the sake of getting an education? Because that is my life, and to be honest, I have no idea what that has anything to do with this temporary fleeting illusion of an existence that will inevitably lead to death.

Look, I'm envious of Kobe's life too, but are you really going to discount the amount of work he put in to be where he is?

Envy leads to jealousy, jealousy leads to hate, hate leads to anger, anger leads to the dark side...

Well, let's just stop this here and stay on topic yea? I'd rather not go into an internet flame war with another human being..

I'm sure we can both say that it's silly and trivial. So I'll let you have the last word; make it count :)

No. I don't mind that Kobe is living his dream job. I was just shocked that anyone would say that he is the hardest working man in the world when he is just playing a game..

Hard to believe he already had the surgery -- I guess there wasn't much swelling. I'm guessing Andrews did the surgery..?

you are a lost sheep with emotional attachment to a man that doesn't even know you exist. Hard work shooting a ball for a total of 30 hours per week vs a mother/father working to make ends meet , feed their children, and pay for fuel for their one family vehicle.

You seem to need a dose of the REAL WORLD, I cant respect people like you who hide away and see athletes as gods who bless us by putting a ball in a hole.

Not to be too picky, but I said one of the hardest working men :p

Look, life is hard; it doesn't matter if your a teacher, student, day laborer picking strawberries or stocking heavy ass inventory, you just have to work hard to get to where you want to be, and you have to work harder than everyone else to be the best or one of the best in your own individual art, whatever it may be.

I think we can say that at least in the field, the profession, or the art of basketball and sports, Kobe has worked harder than many of his peers.
