krosfyah & xcomputerman, please ignore tinman. He's decided to hijack the thread and you arguing with him just makes him post more. Don't take the bait.

juwan is going to be a mo-t in 2 years time, ie eating up salary cap and spending the season on the bench.

    melvin ely for jho now!

Juwan is the best PF on this team and he has stepped his game up to another level with all the injuries. Now its going to be interesting when SS comes back to see if JVG gives Juwan the bulk of the minutes at the PF position. I think JH has earned it and if the Rox are serious about making a playoff run they play JH 30-35 mpg and cut SS minutes.

Tinman don't make me go to the archives, you must have started or posted in 50 threads bashing Juwan and I suppose you're not hating on SAR either.

That is misleading logic. There have been plenty of players on bad teams who didn't put up the numbers that Howard put up. Howard is doing a fantastic job!

#1 You do hate Juwan Howard

#2 It's ridiculous that you and others blow out of proportion one comment that Howard is a superstar. The guy clearly is a superstar. He may not be an All-Star or franchise player but he is a superstar.

And we got knocked out of the playoffs without him, so you actually just defended Howard.

Not to start calling people names, but only an idiot would think that Carl freaking Herrera is a better PF then Howard. Just because Herrera played on a championship team doesn't make him a better player. Using that logic, Mario Elie is a better player then Tracy McGrady.

How do you want to use Juwon when Yao comes back? We should learn something about what Juwon does well from this time and incorporate it in the future game plan. What is Juwon's sweet spot? Where does he excel?

    1. how do i hate the guy? i dont say 'damn miss that shot juwan', sometimes he just does. i can't control if we win or lose. if i did, we'd win all the time.

    2. this guy had fame because he was webber's teammate, had the 1st gigantic contract in the league and that's it. i guess if william hung is a superstar then you might win this arguement.

Carl Herrera was a role player, Howard was a role player.
Mario was a role player. Tmac is the #1 option on this team.

what's wrong with Carl Herrera? he complimented Dream very well and stepped up in the playoffs against big teams while subbing for Thorpe and Hakeem.

tell me what Juwan has done in the playoffs for the Rockets. What did he do in the Dallas series? I must have forgotten. Oh he didn't play. No what ifs.

Mario Elie is better than Derek Anderson.

juwan should take only open jumpers within the paint or 15 footers. grab more offensive rebounds. throw the ball to yao more, establish yao on the low post 1st before getting his shots. defensively, help yao on the boards. he should take quick low post moves if he has a mismatch on a smaller defender, stop trying too many fakes. get back on defense on the break.

sadly i agree with you. Stromile still has a chance to prove me wrong, but he has the athletic ability Juwan doesnt have, but he hasnt put it all together. He's suppose to be the a block shot threat and a fast break dunker. On the half court, he's suppose to grab boards and dunk it back in .
his quickness is being wasted. I want Stromile to play ahead of Juwan and get Juwan off the bench, but Stro has been too inconsistent so far.

he didn't play! i dont care what the reason, he didnt play. bowen did a decent job of defending the mavs, but he couldnt score. if we had juwan, it would be the exact oposite. i remember dirk dropping 50+ on Juwan. juwan is slow. he didnt play is the exact reason. maybe we would have won that game (s), but we made jason terry look like isiah thomas. we couldnt handle the quickness of PG/SG of the Mavs.
this year is horrible, so maybe we wont see juwan or any other rockets in the playoffs. we need to start winning period. no more excuses or moral victories.
