Breaking news: the Texans will be playing 8 players on defense and 9 players on offense. Everyone else is on injured reserve. The Texans need to look at overhauling their strength and conditioning program from bottom up.
Yeah, honestly of all the Oline injuries this one bothers me only slightly more than losing Green for the season. I think the line will just fine with Juice in there (assuming he stays healthy).
Blake Cashman and defensive back Tavierre Thomas are expected to miss a week or two due to their respective hamstring injuries. The potential loss of Cashman will hamper the production coming from the Texans' linebacker unit as the team tries to make their final push toward the postseason. Cashman is in the middle of a career year, having notched 84 tackles, including nine for loss, five pass deflections, two sacks and one interception in 12 games. https://www.si.com/nfl/texans/news/...-thomas-out-two-weeks-with-hamstring-injuries The Houston Texans released their first injury report for Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans. Rookie QB C.J. Stroud was a non-participant as he is in concussion protocol. DE Will Anderson (ankle), LB Blake Cashman (hamstring), WR Nico Collins (calf), OT George Fant (hip), CB Tavierre Thomas (hamstring), and LT Laremy Tunsil (knee) were also non-participants. WR Noah Brown (knee), DT Maliek Collins (chest), RG Shaq Mason (calf), LB Henry To’oTo’o, WR Robert Woods (rest) were limited. K Ka’imi Fairbairn (right quad) and TE Dalton Schultz (hamstring) were full participants. For Tennessee, DL Denico Autry was out with a knee injury. QB Will Levis was limited with an ankle injury. https://texanswire.usatoday.com/2023/12/13/texans-titans-injury-report-c-j-stroud-not-practice/ It's bad enough that our offense is becoming a shell of what it once was, but without Cashman and Thomas our defense is going to take a huge blow.
Next man up mentality works if the back ups are good, but dam, you can't have half the team as a backup and expect to produce results......this might get ugly
Sucks that Greenard is out. I sure hope all our defensive players listed as questionable are able to play.
Well, we know Tunsil injured his groin, and Noah Brown went to the locker room in the second quarter with a lower-body injury. He was ruled out for the rest of the afternoon due to a groin injury. Woods was forced out of Sunday's 26-3 win over the Titans with a hip injury. How can multiple starters get injured every single week? Every single week! I swear, this is the most fragile team in the history of Houston sports.
Agree. Our depth at receiver core is weak. I'd also like another really good cornerback, another pass rusher and a big healthy offensive lineman, along with another RB to complement Singletary. I just don't care for Pierce. We need better depth with the way these guys rotate each week on injuries. I hope we don't draft any more players with injury history.
Texans' Noah Brown Placed on IR With Shoulder Injury; Out for Rest of NFL Playoffs Brown sustained a shoulder injury in Saturday's wild-card win over the Cleveland Browns, and now he will miss the rest of the postseason. He only played 10 regular season games. We definitely need to add to our wide receiver core in FA or the draft.
According to Draftbuzz, Legette is falling to 2nd rd. If that’s the case, I would take best DB available with the first and Legette in the second.
The Texans have 13 players on their injury report, including their top pass rushers, WIll Anderson Jr. and Jonathan Greenard, who were each limited with ankle injuries. That tandem combined for 19.5 sacks in the regular season. Houston defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, who was third on the team with six sacks, didn't practice due to rib and ankle injuries.
We need to get this back for the current season. I noticed current players were on this list last season and are there again this year. Updates of Ineligibles, Elevations from the Practice Squad and Transactions as well as injuries in this Thread are all about availability and what is known about when.
Denico Autry is eligible to return from Suspension. We can always use more guys in the rotation when we are maximizing pressure. It's exhausting.
