I went to bed last night hoping I'd wake up this morning and all this would've just been a bad nightmare. Damn it :( .

At least Yao has always come back stronger and better than before after any injuries. If only we can stay afloat somehow till he returns..

90% of our plays ran through Yao.
Even on nights he wasnt feeling it, Van Gundy would pound the ball into him.
I have a bad feeling our team is going to be clueless on our voyage to the bottom of the standings.

Me too, I cant believe from the highest of highs from the Spurs game to lowest of lows, realizing that we are in the same spot as we were last year. I still feel sick to my stomach. My whole holidays have been ruined. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Bless you, Yao!

You deserve better luck. But we know you will come back stronger, better, and more dominant.

What is a tibial plateau fracture?
A tibial plateau fracture occurs at the top of the shin bone, and involves the cartilage surface of the knee joint. Because these fractures occur around the knee joint, they must be treated differently than the tibial shaft fractures.
When a fracture occurs into or around a joint surface, that joint is at high risk of developing arthritis due to the injury. Unfortunately, even if the bone and cartilage surfaces are lined up perfectly, there is still a risk of developing arthritis due to injury to the cartilage cells.

    Treatment of Tibial Plateau Fractures
    Non-Displaced Tibial Plateau Fractures

Non-displaced fractures are cracks in the bone seen on x-ray, but with the bones remaining in their proper position and alignment. Most non-displaced fractures of the tibial plateau can be treated without surgery, but they usually require an extended period (about 3 months) of protection from walking.
Some non-displaced fractures are at risk for displacing (shifting position) in the days and weeks following injury, and therefore these injuries must be closely watched by your orthopedic surgeon. If displacement occurs, surgery may be needed to realign the bone fragments and hold them in position.

What is the recovery from a tibial plateau fracture?
Recovery from a tibial plateau fracture can take several months. Because the cartilage surface of the joint is involved, the knee must be protected from weight until the fracture has healed. Most commonly patients will be allowed to move the knee joint, but not put weight on the leg for about three months. The exact length of time of limitations will vary on the fracture type and the amount of healing that takes place.

I was watching the game on NBALP and I THINK that the tv guys for the clippers freaking said something about YAO having great knees no health problems well we know what happpend does anyone have the game with the tv guys. I wanna write to them the clippers team. I am sad for YAO he was going to be MVP this YR. I hope that Tmac comes back soon we have a good rec right know hopefully Yao comes back after All star game so the team can have some time to play with each other.. I wish that this would have happend last weekend we could have tried to get AI over here .... I would rather have Yao in the line up ... Merry x-mas we still have a team to see Lets go Rox just play ball 500.Thelll be fine but they need one superstar on the court.

    Big Man Yao.

Get Well soon. :) The Rockets will be fine this season, JVG will use his brain to figure it all out.

    we seen it last night

    we looked lost and sad

JVG has 5-10 games to make up something that will work

the suns game will not work with us...

we will probably stick with JHO playing 30-35 minutes, Bonzi and Battier being our main options

Do you people really think VSPAN and NOVAK gonna contribute that much??? It's not like they proved anything during the time we gave them.. Maybe they are the only ones we have that could become something special during this time...

Here's some more "glass-half-full" kind of thinking:

Yao will finally develop some monster upper body strength from hauling his big self around on crutches for 6 weeks.

    Some thoughts
    1. Yao will watch more tapes and learn more to improve his game.
    2. Rockets will beat some bottom teams but will be raped by spurs/marvs/suns.
    3. If Yao come out strong, then rox will make playoffs.
    4. If no playoff, JVG will not get his contract.
    5. If Yao recovers like amare, he will be traded.

I am so tired about the tanking and the lottery posts - it just makes me sick.
Lets wait and see if T-Mac has anything left (if not then his career is probably over) and Kirk Snyder should be back soon (not that it makes a huge difference) ... but lets wait and see before jumping off the bridge.
