Non displaced is the best kind of break we could have.

He will be back around the All Star break...and the Rockets should be read for him by then.

It is a minor fracture, with the bones still being aligned.....6-8 weeks is my guess.

I know it's selfish, but I hope Yao is back in time for the Magic game in Orlando because myself and 7 others already have tickets for the game! That's approximately 8 weeks, hopefully that's enough cushion.

if it is indeed non-displaced and only a minor fracture then i'll breath a sigh of relief. at this point i just want yao to be recovered and back in top form. yao deserves a long and dominant career so i hope to get some good news over these next few days.

I'm not sure what made it so sure that you posted something like this.

As late as just now.............. TMAC is on day-to-day, and has no return planned.

    What does he do there?
Because you may work for the Rockets as a sales person, does not mean that you would know anything about player status, etc...
I hope he is right

good news is , there will be no sequelae, as this kind of fracture is not that bad, even it really hurts.

also, I guess, Yao maybe doesn't need 6 weeks, maybe, as I said, one month, that'd be great, gosh, so unexpected. :(

to my recollection IC has provided some reliable information in the past, players that were working out, etc. if he says it looks like t-mac will be back tuesday i'll take his word for it.

let's try to think of the positive from this...at least yao will get his rest...just like last year when he was out with the toe injury he came back rejuvenated and played like a monster the second half of the season...hopefully this will be the same thing...besides yao usually heals from his injury faster than normal (like his food injury in the summer)

Man, this really kills my Christmas. How the hell can we be so unlucky?

On the positive side (if there is any), I'm very pleased that there was no ACL, MCL, whatever the hell "L" kinda ligament damage. If there was a season to get ****ed and go the lotto route, then this is it. It's obvious that T-Mac isn't going to be the superstar to pair up with Yao (who is still young) for the duration of his career. Maybe that stud player is in this draft.

It's time for Tracy to man up if his body will allow it. If he can be near the T-Mac of old (I have my doubts but I can dream, right) then this team has enough talent to stay afloat and win some games. Sure, we would have to change our style of play, but Head, Battier, Wells, Howard, Alston, etc are not scrubs. They just need someone to create shots for them. One of the things I have admired about our team this year is their fight. They may not be the most talented, but they do come out to play on most nights. I guess some of that can be traced back to the coach. I expect our team to compete every night. Please man up Tracy and give us a shot.

    Back to my Crown.....

I don't know why some people are so wildly optimistic.

    6 weeks to heal.

3~ 4 weeks to get into shape.
