I think this year they will not tank the season. They'd continue to play with heart and hopefully some miracle happens in Tmac, in that case, Tmac will lead us to a playoff chance and after yao comes back, they'll be good again.

Even with T-Mac, this team is worst than the team he had in Orlando.

So all we need is a miracle? That's reassuring.

I think we should let our fresh guys just like Hayes, Head ,Novak, Snyder, Lucas3 and Span have more time to play.
They are more important than the draft of the next year for us now.
If they are improved by this chance, Rox will be a competitive team in next 3or4 years. Then we will be able to fight for champinship with health 1 and 11.

If he wants to have a longer career, if he wants to play in the 2008 Olympics. Yao seriously needs to take a break from International basketball over the Summer.

JVG never tanks a season. Especially he needs this season to save his job, right?

This is going to be just like last year. Rockets will be lucky to even get into the playoff ... It just does not look like we could make it for now ... :(

Sad, sad day for Rockets and Yao fans, all over the world today!

Will he also take a break from guys who fall on the floor, hitting his knee with their head, in the process?

This was a FREAK injury... Yao could have gotten injured by slipping on the floor at home... it happens, and you can't simply tell a player to live in fear of it with every single thing he does.

the best player tmac had on those orlando teams were howard and garrity.

this team is far superior even without yao to anything tmac had in orlando, the only question is that is tracy going to be the player he was in orlando? if tracy comes back strong i feel the team can be a plus 500 team keeping its head above water long enough till yao comes back to make the final push. tracy was showing signs of getting back into game shape and rhythm before getting the spasm.

Nah, a 14-6 start with T-Mac and Yao healthy probably bought him another year.

This isn't Van Gundy's fault. Trading Rudy Gay for Shane Battier looks r****ded right about now, but you can't blame the coach for freak injuries like tonight.

Tmac with a bad back, Yao with a fractured knee. What's next?
Now I agree nothing is impossible. Two straight seasons with injuries. Maybe next day we see reports on how Bonzi and Battier hit each other, causing serious ankle problems, while landing on Head and Head suffers a serious concussion?

o I just remember that holiday pack song.
On the xxth game of december, my true love give to me...fractured knee, on the best centre of the league.

He needs to stop chasing every fxxking loose ball, dive on the ground, or try to block a meaning less fouled play. I start to believe OMG's statement that JVG brings bad karma to this team. It's not the luck, it's the way he slave drive the players, injury just waiting to happen. I know I am not reasonable right now. I am just mad.

i TOTALLY agree! You don't see Shaq chasing little guards or unnesesary plays away from his spot......like in the frickin' middle guarding the basket! JVG is just a mooron! The Zen master would never let Shaq do this. :(
