Doubt **** is really injured, probably a tactical IL stint. Miss one turn in the rotation with the off day keeping everyone else on normal rest and it allows us to add another bullpen arm after decimated the pen the last two nights.

Alvarez's interpreter said he could have played through it but was precautionary. ( I was in a state of waking up when I heard this)

Guduan called back. May the good lord save us all. There should be a recall like they do with contaminated ice cream.

You know things are not going well when Guduan and his 11.81 ERA is your best IL replacement :(

I'm surprised they didn't bring Armenteros back instead. He at least has given up less runs than innings pitched.

    That dreaded d-word.

It's been less than 10 days since he was last sent down, meaning he's ineligible to be recalled again.

Ineligible except in case of injury

He just pitched last night so he wouldn’t be available for 2-3 days.

Replacing a starter would mean he wouldn’t be needed right away, I’d assume. Unless they’ve already decided to move McHugh back into the rotation.

Right, but if they need a pitcher in the next few days Guduan is available. Also, Sneed could start the next time they need one due to the Monday off day

WTH is this? Better not be true. Of course it’s only a rumor and I hesitate to post this, but now I’m curious.

It's worth noting, people on The Crawfish Boxes said he looked very different the last few outings. He's been throwing way harder, but the pitches are more "straight" and no "break" to them, which could be why teams like the Brewers and Reds got to him more. If this is true, dear God, we just can't catch a break, especially with pitching.

There is something in the air or water in the Houston area that is toxic. It has got to be. This is ridiculous.

Apparently one person said he heard AJ say Osuna is healthy. But I'd like to hear more, something sounds strange. Also, one person on Twitter said it was actually Ozuna from the Cardinals getting an MRI, but that probably isn't the case because he hurt his pinky, not his elbow. But god, this sucks. Too many injuries.

And now the Yuli Watch begins.

Just fixing to post Yuli down for an IL trip.

I’d like to see Reddick at 1b and Tucker up, but Luhnow hasn’t been returning my texts and calls, so...

    Also, any word on Yordan?

The fact that Alvarez didn't even get on deck to pinch hit today or yesterday (both extra inning games) is concerning. I'm fearing that this is something really bad, and the Astros are holding the announcement. Shouldn't we have heard what his MRI results were by now?
Reddick has played a little 1B, but all in garbage time. As has Stassi. Wouldn't mind seeing Reddick play some more first, especially if Gurriel is hurt. I really want Tucker up, too. I think he'll finally be able to put it all together this time around.

    Springer CF
    Altuve 2B
    Brantley LF
    Bregman 3B
    Alvarez DH
    Correa SS
    Reddick/Gurriel 1B
    Chirinos C
    Tucker RF
