    Not likely, the temp of a bullet just as it is being fired is lower than the flashpoint of gasoline. So it would not ignite. Gas will combust at 540 degrees or something like that, and the heat caused by a hand gun just isn't that hot.

    "LOL" at people thinking the gas station is going to blow up if someone fires a gun.

    Gas stations are NOT that volatile. There are so many safety mechanisms and the pumps are designed to keep the vapors inside the tank. You hardly smell gasoline anymore at gas stations.

    I don't think you watched the videos posted where a) someone lit gasoline with a cigarette lighter and b) where a woman drove off with the nozzle in her car and ripped off half the pump.

    You will be changing your tune after that I think. I mean if gasoline pumps aren't safe after you rip them in half, WHEN ARE THEY SAFE?

    Point is that if a lighting a cigarette can start a fire than there's enough fumes that is volatile and firing a gun can start a fire too.

    Gasoline in liquid form is fairly non-combustible. A bullet won't set it on fire. But gas fumes plus a spark will start a fire. A spark that can come from firing a gun.


    Anyway, this is moot. Why don't you go practice firing your high caliber hand gun while you pump gas then?
