    Supply/Demand always equalizes.

I'm not happy about my dollar being worth $.70 now.

Don't forget Crypto, Gig Economy, Continued Globalization, the (re)rise of American Nationalism, fuzzy genders, war in Europe, Pandemic commercialism, private space ships, home 3d printing and gene editing, etc.

It's no exaggeration to say we're entering a new age.

Democrat left media tips and suggestions on how to cope with the current briskly increases in inflation. Expect these to be parroted by the white house press secretary soon:

Correct, because the demand for workers is outpacing the supply of workers, driving the pay level up, which compensates for inflation. Ultimately companies will keep increasing pay, benefits and better treatment to a point where people stay at companies long term. Until then, talent will keep jumping around.

as a non economist I think
your argument could be valid within acceptable margin of inflation BUT unfortunately

the answer to insane inflation is deflation ( rescission)
I feel this era is the digital release of 1920s, things makes little to no sense , I do not trust anyone who did not see TB shortage ahead of time(including myself)

Bloomberg Opinion largely follows the beliefs of Michael Bloomberg... someone that has bounced back and forth between republican, democrat and independent. And if you know anything about Bloomberg the politician, you will likely categorize him as an independent (crazy rudy endorsed him; and more a political opportunist). He is hardly "left wing" and Bloomberg Opinion Its hardly "left wing media"... rather the op-ed arm of Bloomberg (financial) News.

Some of this reminds me of criticism of Obama when he said we should maintain tire pressure. Yes we should do stuff like that. Just like we should change the oil regularly on our cars and other basic maintenance.

It's another sign of where our politics are when we criticize people for suggesting practical commonsense measures to save money.

It would seem to be helpful to our supply issues if the governor of Texas would stop purposefully bottlenecking our imports at the border in an act of political sabotage.

What is there that the Democrats are not screwing up right now in epic fashion? Is there anything that has remained unscathed?

Manchin on inflation: Biden administration ‘failed to act fast enough’

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) blamed the Biden administration and the Federal Reserve for rising inflation on Tuesday after Labor Department data found that inflation had increased by 8.5 percent over the past 12 months.

“The Federal Reserve and the Administration failed to act fast enough, and today’s data is a snapshot in time of the consequences being felt across the country,” Manchin said in a statement. Instead of acting boldly, our elected leaders and the Federal Reserve continue to respond with half-measures and rhetorical failures searching for where to lay the blame. The American people deserve the truth about why record inflation is happening and what must be done to control it,” he added.

The Labor Department said on Tuesday that its consumer price index, which tracks inflation, increased by 1.2 percent in March and 8.5 percent over the past 12 months. Manchin called the data a “chilling story about how these taxes on Americans are completely out of control,” and one that is eating away at incomes and savings.

Food prices rose 8.8 percent over the past 12 months and 1 percent in March alone, while gasoline prices were up 48 percent on the year after an 18.3 percent increase in March, according to the Labor Department data. The Labor Department figures are bad news for Democrats and Biden ahead of this fall’s midterm elections. Republicans have seized on rising prices to argue for a change in leadership.

This is getting really bad. It appears that the Democrats are warming up to throw the current occupant of the White House, Joe Biden, under the proverbial bus. These are dark days and they have steadily been getting darker under the Democrats. The voters see this, too, reports by the propaganda pushers in the establishment left media, notwithstanding.

Inflation sucks. But staff and product shortages are more frustrating to me.

Or Democrats don't mind speaking there own minds.

It's amazing how you think any dissention is throwing somebody under the bus.

Manchin making this remark does not constitute the Democrats throwing Biden under the bus. But the Democrats are going to need someone to serve as their sacrificial lamb for these epic messes and scandals that they have been creating in rapid succession, and Kamala Harris is not going to suffice.

The Democrats do not give a rip about Joe Biden. They never did and do not now. They were using him when they nominated him, and if they throw him under the bus, they will then have used him up.

how is that any different than the Repugs
    • using Orange Hair (a career Dem from NY) when they nominated him,
      • hedging their bet by forcing Mike Pence on the party nominaas the VP
    • using McCain (a Maverick from Az) when they nominated him
      • hedging their bet by forcing Sarah Palin as the VP ?

btw, did McCain throw Trump under the bus when the Az Maverick voted against Trump on the repeal of ObamaCare?
