I have a bold prediction that the rockets will offre him a 3 yr deal worth 5 mil with a team option the third year :D sounds reasonable

Thanks hooroo. Doesn't sound like a situation where there's a big need or minutes for a guy like Landry.

and it's misleading as well. Other changes... Scola in the starting lineup, familiarity with Adelman's scheme etc are what produced those wins, not just Landry playing.

I'll make a bold prediction that he won't accept it.

Unless they are breaking it out into actual seconds (example: 10 minutes, 45 seconds is not rounded to 11 minutes), I show 29-6 and 26-21 as the records.

3 of our playoffs losses had Landry play 11, 8 and 10 minutes, and that was in large part because he sucked in those games.

That's like saying if 'you are an idiot' then 'you are an idiot.'

Mistakes are only wasted life experiences when we repeat them over and over in life.

Landry has talent. There's not doubt about that. However, when he refuses to have an MRI performed on his knee until after he signs a new contract, there is something fishy going on. Regardless, he's not worth the full MLE.

I don't think Landry should make more than Scola. He should be around 2.5mil, nothing more.

The rest of the league compares Landry with Turiuf.

So think about how much Turiuf would be offered if he was coming off of knee surgery, and his agent refuse to let him take a basic MRI and that should be how much teams would be offering him.

For Morey there really is no need to rush in resigning him, we have his rights so why should we be rushed into making a official offer and drive up what we would pay him, when nobody in their right mind would pay him even close to the full MLE amount right now.

Granger is better suited at the 3,although it's going to be hard for him to be there with Dunleavy.Williams hasn't endeared anyone with his behavior.

McRoberts is unproven,Baston isn't in Landry's league. I won't be surprised if the Pacers do make an offer for Carl.Buddy Baker is exaggerating about the "floodgates being opened" for his client though.

someone said 7 mils for 3 years with the 3rd yr being player's option. i think that is a really fair deal for both landry and the team. in my mind, landry definitely ain't worth anything over 3 mil per; and if i were to offer 3 mil i'd offer one year deal.

i don't like the fact that the landry situation is somewhat holding this team up in terms of signings during the offseason. there are players out there whom i think can be good fit to our team. players such as nocioni or even delfino. morey could've been chasing these players already if not for this landry situation.

what is so special about landry? especially after we've drafted (and intend to sign) dorsey?

If we don't use it on Landry, who else are we going to use it for?

True, if they're interested and they have the MLE available, they might make a play. But just looking at their roster and their recent trades, they look to have enough bigs on their roster that the PF may not be a overly glaring need. Which, hopefully, works to the advantage of the Rockets.

Landry isnt worth MLE...he doesn't break guys down or score on his own. He can finish in traffic, rebound pretty well, block some shots, but I dont think his defense is as good as Chucks. Would be nice if they had signed him to a two year, then we would really get to see his worth. I think Scola will make a huge impact next season...maybe he'll dunk more than once a season :D
