Surprising move by the Pacers. I thought they were high on AJ Price.

Pacers signed their 10th pick Paul George and he'll cost them $1.9M next season. If they waive McRoberts and Price that leaves c.$2.03M of salary space.

They're not going to pay LT. They either have a deal lined up or will work something out before the trade deadline.

Lowry would have to sign something for the Rockets to match anything. And like most posters, I don't see him signing an offer this crappy.

If he signs a one year deal this winter, he becomes an unrestricted FA next year, right?

Seems like a pretty good deal for Lowry, if he wants to bet on not getting injured this year.

I think the rockets will offer Lowry a multiple years contract, but at a low price.

Lowry has an injury history. He won't accept an one year deal.

One year deal means Lowry would be an unrestricted free agent next year. This would be his way to move on.

If he accepts the offer we can match.

He can still go out and look for other options.

If he were to sign it, which he won't. At least I hope not. Lowry deserves better.

rockets offer: 3 years for 10 millons, team option for the last year. That's my guess.

I'd give him 16M/4 years right now. Overpaying him wont kill the team.

No need to overpay our backup pg. Wait for the market to set the price.

Wasn't he more a sixth man than a backup pg last season(I Know technically he was still the back up pg, but 4 million/yr is cheap for a 6th man)?

Farmar could take that offer. Whats he got to lose? A starting job? He's not starting now. It's a perfect opportunity for him to break through, if it happens, big pay day next summer. Perfect opportunity for him imo, doesnt get locked in to a low contract for years, gets to show what he has....worst case he doesnt cut it and goes back to being a back up at 2-3 mill somewhere...not a lot to lose.

Lowry may take what's offered to him quicker than we expect. I think he wants a quick payday, and he already knows his role with the Rockets will be greater this season. I'm sure Morey would extend him for the right price during the year.

Woow ... Indy what are you thinking? Just sign Farmar and get it over with ... I think Bird is losing it!
