Apparantly, Pettite threw 50 pitches in a simulated game and felt fine afterwards. According to David Dalati, he looked good.

The Astros are 1-5 so far this spring training, we are screwed!! Oh wait the Yankees are 1-5 also, and I doubt anyone expects them to get less than at least 90+ wins this year. Thus proving spring training means absolutely nothing.

They had 21 runs on 16 hits....either we walked a lot of people or we just played some brutal defense. Probably both.

Quoting this to make sure it is read. I wish people would hold their breath and wait for the season wrather than b**** during ST. (By holding their breath they will have their mouth shut, and maybe..just maybe...pass out.)

This is great. Every year the Stros do well in Spring Training, they suck it up when it counts. When they suck in ST, they have a good season. I'm ready now :D

Just something funny I saw on the box score from the game 1 homerun was hit. What are the odds of that in a 21 run game

I can't find the stats. But wasn't 2000 one of our best Spring trainings ever in terms of wins and losses? Look how that season turned out.

I don't care if we hadn't won 1 spring training game. It's more of an oppurtunity for pitchers to try to make the team, veteran pitchers to get back in shape and maybe work on a new pitch, and minor league hitters to try and make the team.

We have a different team this year with alot of young players trying to find out where they fit in, and if they even do at all. Remeber, alot of these guy won't be on the team come opening day, so don't panic yet.
