Sure, because we all know mar1juana dealers do it for the love of mar1juana, not the money.

Criminals will be criminals. You can legalize everything you want, but at the end of the day, these guys would be doing something else dangerous to make easy money.

Legalizing drugs to stop crime is stupid rationale.

you can't get rid of crime, but you do away with the crimes involving mar1juana. getting arrested, killed, etc. over something as miniscule as mar1juana is ridiculous. alcohol is more of a detriment to society than pot. the only drawback i can see to not legalizing pot is that it may turn us into a society of lazy unemployed people...but that's already happened... if pot were legal at least they would be peace-loving happy lazy unemployed people.

I don't smoke weed, and haven't been in touch with weed prices since high school, but I've always thought it was pretty damn cheap relative to what most people consider "drugs". At least not expensive enough to kill people over.

I mean, we're not talking kgs of coke here. How much did the perps get? a few grand worth of weed? Is that really worth having cops running you down for murder charges!?

What makes you think legalizing it would make more people smoke it?

Do you think that there are people around who don't smoke it JUST BECAUSE it is illegal?

I doubt legalization would have a major effect on anything but useage statistics - which would only go up IMO because a regulated market is a more transparent one.
