    Geez, so much hate! I have traveled all over the world & I think India is a very nice place. Although I am only really familiar with Southern India (specifically Kerala) and most complaints (congestion, slums, etc) seem to be about Northern cities where more tourists go. I know Kerala, at least, is beautiful and very safe. Also my friend studied abroad a year ago in Delhi (Northern city) & she loved it. It can't be that terrible.

    Note to self: Don't ever go to India. If in the future I have a sudden urge to visit India, just go to 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts.

    Much like a few other developing countries, I would keep away from their big cities in India. There are lots of beautiful places to see there. Don't spend your trip in the slums if you can help it.

    Also if you get a chance, check dis schiznit out yo! Much better than the step show in American universities.
