So this next stretch of games - through the end of the month - has us playing nothing but scrubs, 7 of them. You would think we would rape CHA, LAC, TOR, ATL, GS, MIL, & CLE. If we split these games JVG should go - no question. It is also somewhat bizarre that Doc Rocket went underground after his mysterious post in the Eddie House thread. Maybe, hopefully, something is going on...
I am also deeply disturbed. I have been a big defender of Van Gundy for a long time. I still think that he's a good coach and will have sucess in this league; however, I'm starting to doubt if he's the right coach for THIS team. This is probably the worst I've ever seen the Rockets play, and with 2 of the most talented players we've ever had. Perhaps he should hire an assistant that specializes in offense. I noticed Pop has Carlisamo as his assistant, I believe Del Harris was Nelson's assistant. Can't Van Gundy bring in a guy who knows something about scoring and breaking down opponents D? A few more weeks of this, and I will be calling for his head. However, I remain hopeful that Van Gundy can get this thing turned around. I've never been more ready to abandon my support for JVG though.
