Ominous warning from source on players' side expecting NBA offer to be rejected: "Nothing was addressed. It's same offer as it was before."

    daldridgetnt David Aldridge
League was diabolical tonight--& I use that word w/respect. Dangling 72 game season is ultimate tease for players desperate to play.

    daldridgetnt David Aldridge
Would not want to be a player rep over the next 72 hours. They will be pushed and pulled in all directions--take it, reject it..tough call

    daldridgetnt David Aldridge
Will not surprise me if decert/disclaimer is filed before Mon meeting. Just starts clock a little earlier; reps can still approve proposal.

    LarryCoon Larry Coon
Sounds like plan was to start the season on Dec 15 whether the players answered tonight or next Tuesday, so maybe players just wanted

    LarryCoon Larry Coon
...to take their time to mull it over.

    NO SEASON

The owners know the players were resigning to accepting a 50% BRI deal, but now they made tweaks to the system knowing the players will reject it.

Therefore, the owners can offer the numbers they always want, esp. 47% BRI, KNOWING also the players will reject that.

The owners are just straight up yo-yoing the players and humiliating them in the public eye.

I'm pretty sure there won't be a season.

You only need 16 votes to pass this deal.

You really think the players want to miss some game checks?

If Stern is right and a 72 game season would start Dec. 15th, the players would miss a total of 1 game check.

I think hands will be shaked on Tuesday.

Not confirmed, but looks like league may have conceded it. RT @superior89indo: Anything on the sign and trade?

    NYPost_Berman Marc Berman
Lost in this is Stern has already canceled first two weeks of December without ever announcing it.

NBPA player rep on union leadership: "Why do they keep scrambling us to New York for these meetings when they never listen to us?"

Player rep (cont.): "We told them not to go past 53 percent. They did. We told them we're not taking this deal. Why waste our time?"

if accurate - new $2.5 mil exception for teams under cap, once they hit cap - that's a big one for rank and file

Another veteran role player texts: "How quickly does Billy (Hunter) get fired after we sign this bull----?"

    WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Who knows where players heads will be by Monday, but there's a lot of frustration and anger with union leadership tonight.

Source says it was Billy Hunter's idea to wait until next week for player reps to meet in NY. Even though the exec committee is in NY now.

This alarmed me: when I asked what was changed in the revised proposal, union source replies, "It may have gotten worse. It's debatable."

Hearing a lot of the same reaction @WojYahooNBA is. Three players I talked to tonight say if deal looks like last one, they don't want it.

If the players have any common sense at all, they accept this deal and Billy Hunter is gone immediately.

They think if they hold out longer the owners will bend again.

The owners have bent a little but sooner or later the owners WILL go through with their threats. I'm willing to bet their threat of dropping to 47% + hard-cap is not just a threat.

The Players should have never let Hunter and Fisher go below 53%. This would set the tone for "system issues" in the players favor as well. Now they are getting screwed both ways.

Stern didn't cancel it, the calendar did. It's 11/11/11 today, will take a few more day for players to answer. Realistically need 1 more month at least (1) for sides to document the deal, (2) run a fast free agent signing period, and (3) run training camp/preseason.
