Adam Reisinger (ESPN.com): The fact that Fisher isn't giving up details is strangely encouraging. It sounds like he wants the union to hear details of the revised proposal from him and the other members of the executive committee, not via the media.

Doesn't sound like this revised proposal was rejected. Sounds like NBPA will talk to player reps to get their input. #NBA

Union will take NBA's revised proposal under review for a few days and confer with the 30 player reps before acting on it.

Hunter won't say whether he would accept this deal or not. Wants to get players into New York Monday or Tuesday and see what they want.

Hunter says player reps will come back to New York early next week, and union will take direction from them.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Hunter says there are another 30 or 40 secondary issues that also need to be resolved.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Hunter: Among those seconary issues are the age limit, commissioner discipline, etc. -- six pages union presented them.

Asked ownership source if this proposal is last, best before league delivers so-called 'reset' offer: "Looks that way to me," source said.

    Fisher and Hunter:

Fisher: We've had another long day. We continued to make efforts on all of the open issues that it would take to close out a CBA. We came into this process the last couple days trying to close the gap on system issues. We've worked at it the last couple days. We characterize it as a revised proposal from the NBA. It does not meet us entirely on the system issues. At this point, we decided to end things for now. We will confer with player reps over the next few days and make decisions about what our next decision will be. Thats where things stand. We would still like to negotiate but right now, its not that time.

Sound as there were some issues they may have met you. Talk about those common ground areas?

What I said actually was there were 6-7 issues that were important. ALso found out there were several additional issues that were key. On the main 6-7 issues, not sure we can say on any one of them the NBA came where we would like them to come to. On a couple of issues, there was some revision but at this time, its not enough to entice us to finish this out tonight.

We'd like to talk to our reps before we get into specifics. You guys are aware of the system issues important to us. We cant elaborate too much on any one.

Seen enough movement from them to be encouraged?

No I guess I remain in the same place. If players or Hunter have a different opinion, please speak up. Not enough progress to get a deal done and thats disappointing. We want to get back on the court. There are important issues we need to close this out to get a deal done.

Room for them to move or last best offer?

I do believe it was clear that there is where they are right now.

Is there any chance after meeting with player reps that you will accept?

Hunter: Depends on the direction we get from the player reps. We were given direction(last time) by reps to go back and meet with the NBA. As Derek has said, there has been some movement by the NBA but obviously not enough. How will those reps repspond early next week when we meet?

We're hoping to get them in here Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Are you saying new issues popped up?

No, not saying that. We told you these were the prime issues. We have A and B list issues. 6 issues we were referring to were most major. Economic, S&T, mid level, etc. THere are several other not as important as the A that we have to resolve. Age, discipline, etc. There was a series of issues, 6 pages.

Are you all at all surprised and/or encouraged the revised offer was not the flex cap idea?

I dont know that we were surprised. Weve been at it for 2 years now. We were hopeful. We made every effort to reach an accord with them. We made concessions. Disheartened a bit. Frustration. Our players want to go back and play. We made every effort within reason to reach an agreement. We havent succeeded, at least tonight we havent.

    Status of that ultimatum?

In our discussions with David, I and Derek indicated with him that we need time to discuss with our player reps. We need to decide our next option. Will we go back and engage the NBA again or what are the other options?

Considering time is of the essence, why not meeting before Monday or Tuesday?

Nothing else for us to talk about. We dont have much more to move off. We have to go confer with the player reps.

Will you negotiate further with the league?

    We'll know after Monday.

No deadline or time limit to accept or reject?

    Correct.

Is it a proposal you are comfortable bringing to them?

Not the greatest proposal in the world. I owe it to them to show them. We need to discuss with all the reps and collectively decide what we need to do.

Idea to see if there is enough there for membership vote?

Our intentions are to take similar approach of a few days ago. Bring reps in and bring them up to speed on the NBAs revised proposal and get their voice and their direction of where we go. Negotiate from where we are or maybe this is the NBAs last/best offer.

Berger forgets what he was gonna ask. Hahahaha

League say that this will remain on the table until you get back to them?

    Thats exactly what they said.

Looking at your face, you dont look enthusiastic.

We've been at this awhile. WE're locked up in this room the last 12-14 hours. YOu're locked in. Its been a long haul. Coming near the end, trying to get this thing done.

My favorite Billy Hunter line of night: "It's not the greatest proposal in the world." It comes w/ paychecks, though. So players might bite.

Remember: Whatever deal the players agree to, they will be playing under for the next six, maybe ten years. Long time if they hate it.

Why wait till Monday or Tuesday?

Players don't have enough money for a plane ride? Not even Skype or email?

Amen Dennis Scott. Why did player-rep-epiphany on deal dynamics happen in early Nov.? Those guys should've been more involved from start.

Stern: We made a revised proposal to the union which attempted to meet their concerns as best as we and the labor relations committee could.

    WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
The NBA is offering the players a 72 game season starting on Dec. 15.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Stern: I met with Billy and said that just as the clock had stopped at 5 o'clock on Wednesday ... would remain stopped through his meeting.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Stern says if we don't get positive answer, revised proposal with 47 percent share for players would be redelivered.

    WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Stern says owners will return to 47 percent offer on BRI, and flex salary cap if no agreement early next week.

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Stern: I did tell Billy that that proposal has the support of the chairman of committee, Adam and me and Glen Taylor, chair of BOG

    KBergCBS Ken Berger
Stern, asked if this is last, best offer: "We took pains out of respect to the efforts of everybody not to characterize it that way."

    BergCBS Ken Berger
Stern: But if this offer is not accepted, we will revert to our 47 percent proposal.

Stern: This is the best attempt by the labor relations committee, and thus the NBA, to address their concerns.

Noam Schiller (Hardwood Paroxysm): It's all the "fine print" stuff that needs to be done before the deal is official but that isn't really important. Age limit, Craig Sager's dress code, etc.

    alanhahn Alan Hahn
Stern says revised offer has approval of Labor Relations Committee. Adds if players don't approve, next proposal resets to 47-53, hard cap.

Let me correct myself: Would require NBA to move back the playoffs one week, and the NBA Finals back one week, for 72 game regular season.
