I like the first two songs a lot - from then on it goes down a bit. Did you know the fact that the video of "Cherry Blossom Girl" was directed by a p*rn-movie director? Moon Safari will never been topped. Thats such a gem of the nineties.
Awesome. Soap Opera rocks. I directed a stage version for my company in Houston. Here are two fan reviews (one guy traveled from Austin, the other from CA): http://kinks.it.rit.edu/misc/review-20021116.html http://kinks.it.rit.edu/misc/review-20021115.html All I'm listening to right now is Houston genius Greg Wood's "Ash Wednesday." Highly recommended for anyone who likes great music.
Agreed. That album was SOOOO underrated. I never could get into "10 Hz Legend" (don't know if that is its right name) or "Premiers Symptomes"
Guns n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction Johnny Thunders - Live at Max's Kansas City Exploding Hearts - Guitar Romantic Pure Rubbish - Glamorous Youth
In the 12 disc changer right now? IN the family car? I run the gammet on eclectic... but all at least within the "Christian" category. King's X - King's X Stryper - compilation I made T-Bone - Life of a Hoodlum T-Bone - A Hoodlum's Testimony T-Bone - Last Street Preacher Mercy Me - Almost There Mercy Me - Spoken For Michael W. Smith - Worship Again Ten Thousand Flying - Some Will Rise Prime Minister - All Out Nu Wine - 1998: The EP Alternative/Modern Christian Compilation I made w/ P.O.D., Switchfoot, .rod laver, Pax 217, Luna Halo, etc. Also have an axtra 6 disc magazine with all of my wife's favorite Praise and Worship music... the Hillsong stuff, Terry McAlmon, etc. What can I say? We have some integrity. We are what we claim to be (-simple def. of "integrity"). Christians.
Ben Folds Five - Naked Baby Photos For those of yall who wear fanny packs AND PONY-TAILS!!!!....COME OOOOON!!!!!
I listend to Moon Safari while I'd broke up with my 4year long during relationsship 5 years ago. I finished it because I fell in love with another girl (my current girlfriend) and it was a crystal clear winter. Cold, dry and bright. On my way to work I had to cross a huge grass-field with trees all around. Man, I still have goosebumbs and all happy smiles in my heart thinking back. OK, back to the music. The problem with 10'000 hz legend was that everyone was so excited about the new air album (hz legend) coming out and everyone kinda expected a new Moon Safari. Which did not happen. But Premier Symptons is also liked a lot by me. It's a kinda rougher, less polished, less glamour version of moon safari. Not as rich of course. In fact, Moon Safari will be one of the CD's I would pick for the island.
Been on a hip hop kick lately... Paul Wall and Chamillionaire - Get Ya Mind Correct Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - E 1999 Eternal
I've heard about these guys but I don't see this listed anywhere as being one of their albums...is this a demo or something?
Two more I just dusted off after a couple years. Smash Mouth - Fush Yu Mang - WOW! Their recent years of complete and utter suck assedness made me forget what an awesome debut CD they had. A great mixture of punk and ska. Reel Big Fish - Turn the Radio Off - The album that almost brought ska into the mainstream. I'm glad it didn't, though. I'd rather hear a little good ska than a whole bunch of bad ska... The Simpsons Sing the Blues - Yeah, I own this album...you got a problem wit dat?
U2 - October (for some reason I really enjoy the whole album now, though I never did before) Counting Crows - Recovering the Satellites U2 - Best of 1990-2000 Cake - Motorcade of Generosity Santana - Shaman Matchbox twenty - More than you think you are
Explosions in the Sky – Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place Emmylou Harris – Stumbling into Grace Young and Sexy – Life Through One Speaker Caedmon’s Call – Back Home
actually these guys are my good buds, they broke up. The album never was released. I have it... if you'd like a copy, get back to me. The bassist Mike and guitarist JT from PR, formed another band DESOLATION ROW. They play this friday at rudyards.
