In retrospect, our 2009 draft was pretty poor

WHEN they draft them they realize alot of work needs to be done which is why it is called drafting a project. Teams know they aren't ready, and may have some upside which, if you think about it.....IS WHY THEY ARE DRAFTED IN THE SECOND ROUND. You know those guys that can immediately contribute and have a better chance of sticking it in the NBA? Yea they are the ones being drafted in the first 20 picks. You act like these 2nd rounders are taking up so much of our cap space, roster space, locker room space.

Hey Joey! Thanks for helping us get one the top effecient scorers in the game, a high ceiling big man, the potential for 2 top first round picks, 2 other assets that could net us a big time sign and trade.

Hey Donte Green! Thanks for helping us get to game 7 of the 2nd round last year

    Hey V-Span! We love Scola

The irony about evaluating our 3 rookies from this year at this point to your mancrush Dajuan Blair is the evaluation years from now in terms of health. Lets see how Blair's holding up a few seasons, and some mileage into his career on those ACL-less knees

3 second rounders that cost us 6 million and this years 2nd. Also landing the 8th pick, Hill, plus potential 2011 1st round swap and 2012 1st round for, roughly, Tmac's contract. How did we but this years draft exactly?

50 games into the 2007-2008 we made a HUGE mistake picking Carl Landry over Glen Davis and Nick Fazekas. What a wasted draft. Not to mention Aaron Brooks was a huge mistake. What was Morey thinking????

The only thing worse than declaring the draft a bust 50 games in, is decalring the draft a bust based on the ever important Draft Grade of experts.

Why don't you let the players find their role, get some time under their belts and then evaluate.

I see the analysis with Euro stash picks and true draft picks being fair and unfair to either player.

1 thought process is the Rockets got 3 picks, 2 on the team 1 overseas. The stash pick (Llull) gets forgotten about, out of sight out of mind. The true pick (Taylor) is on the team putting his struggles right before our eyes so we can say he sucks.

But Llul is getting to develop his game slowly with no distracting eyes, while Taylor gets thrown right on in. It could be reverse, bring in Llull who might suck on the NBA floor in front of the judges panel, while Taylor kicks butt overseas.

The other is like you indicated, thinking the stash pick or foreign guy's some chump who's not on the team so he "MUST" suck...

Its because of 2nd rounders like Dorsey and Taylor that the Rockets dont have that foosball table and video game setup going. Eating into that valuable real estate in the locker room.  :p
