In retrospect, did Chris Bosh make the right choice?

Of course he made the right choice in pocketing 30M more.

He made the right decision to take the extra money. I would have done the same thing.

As for basketball, who knows? Are they a contender this year? I am not so sure. And next year onwards, I would think Wade's health is pretty suspect. Is Dragic+Bosh really a top two for a championship contender?

Bosh made the right choice for himself because he and his family like Miami and he didn't want to move.

Yep he won. All we have is an MVP candidate.

Now that Miami is a contender, I'm sure he wants out. Way too much pressure.

From Bosh's perspective, OF COURSE he did! Here are the reasons:

    • He gets to make a ridiculous amount of money,
    • He has already win 2 chips & cemented his legacy
    • Almost guaranteed to get into the HOF (given that almost every good player makes it these days LOL)
    • Gets to live in Miami
    • Gets to play in the East (if team is rebuilt well, greater chance of playoff success, compared to the West)

Dragic is a good complimentary player, NOT a foundational player.

This. Bosh clearly likes Miami and money, which is fine, he play's bball professionally. Miami gets to stay relevant and re-tool while and can be a top tier team in the East.

Some players want to be the best. Some want to get paid like they're the best. Bosh has zero, ZERO, interest in contending for titles if it means he sacrifices cash at this point.

It's as if Miami was a top 3 team AND added Goran. Let's put it this way, if Bosh is your best player, your team sucks. And their team?

    Sucks.

Wade isn't much more reliable than Dwight, and the Rockets without Bosh (and Parsons, remember...) are 13 games ahead of Miami in the standings.

The Miami starting five is certainly better balanced, but frankly James Harden and 4 Brian Cooks still might be better because JAMES F'N HARDEN.

But I really don't mind guys chasing money if it also means sticking with your team, I can respect players who spend a lot of time with a single franchise.

Adding Dragic doesn't make miami a contender, they are not even in the playoffs at the moment

did the heat make the right choice in giving bosh that ridiculous max contract? hell no. he's barely worth it in his first year. did bosh make the right choice? hell yeah. he won 2 rings, he's good now he's gonna rake one of the biggest contracts in the league.

    That Simmons is a dumbass.

Nobody ever thought Bosh made the wrong choice except for children. Of course you take more money and don't uproot your family. There's really not a single person on earth who would have chosen differently other than the mentally ill.

The team that made a sketchy choice is Miami. We'll see in 4 years but thus far it's not looking good.

One team has the frontrunner for MVP and the other does not.

    That is all.

Agreed. For Bosh personally and financially, it was a good move. For winning titles, absolutely not. Miami will never win a championship with that core. Bosh, Wade, and Dragic(starting next season) will take up way too much cap space, and all 3 are either in the twilight of their career(Wade) or approaching that point within a few years(Bosh, Dragic).

Now would Bosh be any closer to sniffing another ring here had we kept Parsons as originally planned? Maybe. A healthy Dwight and some semblance of a bench would've given the Rockets a pretty good shot at winning it all, but it's hard to say how Morey would've added depth to this roster with so much money tied up in the starters.

Yeah - screw Simmons. Dragic is not a superstar, wade is an old ass, emerging center- plz. Deng- so what. Bosh is soft.

D12 is gonna be fine. What a troll Simmons is.

Both teams have terrible coaches. Heat GM is Pat Riley he knows what putting a championship basketball team really takes basketball wise. Morey is doing it a different way using his skills which is more of a statistical/mathematical way.

Dragic is gonna get paid now and enjoy the miami life. Too bad he won't be enjoying anything on the court though.
