In other news, if you rush for 100 yards in a football game you will win a very large majority of the time. So I wonder why football coaches dont simply keep running the football until they get to the 100 yard mark, then start passing. I mean, after all, its the stat that matters, not what goes in to reaching said stat.

Brooks is playing the best basketball of his life. I don't even know how to describe his game. He is just toying with Blake. You gotta love it.

But, he is not a point guard and that's the problem. He is a type of player like Barbosa or Terry. You can put him as a backup sg and he will score 15+ night in night out.

Brooks played extremely well and under control for most of the game. I thought he was running the team very well. The problem was he made some mistakes in the 4th quarter offensive and defensive like when he let blake blow by him on the baseline and the t.o's. His mistakes were really magnified and made him out to have a bad game because of the timing of the mistakes. overall he played a good game but made some mistakes that all second yr pg's do.

The real concern is with artest taking bad shots...

it's arbitrary and partial to blame the PG himself for his low figure in his assisting number, it's just like blaming one's wife for being barren regardless of his own factors. We just don't have a grab-and-shoot guy like hamilton that can turn into assists 6+ of the passes from his teammates. Brent Barry can be considered that kind of guy but he has got little time in this series. even Jason kidd or Steve Nash wouldn't make it different even if they joined us.

oh, man...really? i thought it was fresh!

i mean...you remember that whole apollo XIII thing, right??? and how they said, "houston, we have a problem." you remember that right??

so this is like taking that line and using it related to our point guard situation. maybe it went over your head, but i think it was super-fly.

aaron brooks is a great point guard.. he just has to stop playing so passively and do his thang..

he can be like tony parker with a 3 point shot.

i dont know if this post goes here but the gamea i watched so far all roy can do is drive. why dont we back off of him and let him shoot to beat us. or why dont we play some zone. also you have to post ron up more if he is on the block it will bring yaos defender away from him. also maybe we should play high post low post with scola and yao or oppisite. ra is a genius coach i just domt understand why he can think of diffrent plays when yao is fronted.

man you people need to quit crying. What do you all expect? just because we blow them out in game1 you expect them to do the same in game 2 and sweep the series? last i check the blazers are not high school varsity. sitting here expecting the rox to beat them 2 games in their house is being ridiculous. With all the problems we had last night we almost pull it out with a win. That should be a positive sign not crying about our PG, fronting yao etc etc.....

I agree with this post. The constant harping about Brooks or Yao is just stupid. Brooks was great in the second half of last nights' game, is he getting Nash or CP3 number of assists? No, but he carries the ball well, scores and usually is good in clutch situations. Asking for more from your PG isn't bad, but let's play a game shall we?

Name 5 point guards in their second season that are better then Aaron Brooks? I'll even help Stuckey in Detriot, now someone name the other 4 sophomore point guards that are obviously better players then Brooks.

Trash time? We lost by 4 points and had it down to 2 with a few seconds left.

Brooks right now is our most clutch player and he's the only one who can consistently penetrate the Blazers' D.

No, the haters never loved Brooks, even after the game one.

and No, "Houston Rockets fans" don't b**** everyone or every PG. "They" b**** about any PG who had tried to play offense and did not left enough to feed their boy Yao. They have their forever love for Rafer and JVG.

"This coach is not good for Yao."
"That PG is not good for Yao."
    "Feed Yao the ball"

Idiotic CCTV-5 followers and Yao's homer fans.

Just because he scored 23 and 27 points while shooting at an insane percentage doesn't make him a good point guard.

    funny

on a side note, yao has had trouble with fronting defense since he's been here.
