Can't believe people have camped outside In N Out since Monday waiting for it to open.

Pretty stupid. It reminds me of waiting in a line to jump off a cliff to one's death. People camping out to clog arteries further with burger grease/fat. These same people probably had another chain's burger a few days prior...like they need another in short order or they may collapse from burgerless fatigue.

This country has to get over the fascination with fast food and burgers in general. It changes lives...and not for the better. Too many fat, lazy pig Americans out there driving fast food business. Granted, this isn't the thread for this discussion. lol.

Eventually, I may try the Allen location just to try it as I'm in the area often...but I avoid fast food joints like the plague these days so it could be a while.

true...I don't get why people are camped out either...

On a side note, they're actually opening a Heart Attack Grill in the west end in Dallas...As bad as it is for you, i may have to try it just once...

I'm not, people did that for Krystal's when it opened in our area as well.

Not surprised about people camping out either. It is pretty much part of American culture nowadays. Camping for Apple Products, Black Friday, concert tickets, etc. People have too much free time in their hands.

I do somewhat expect the lines to go fast since In-N-Out's all-star crew is there helping train the employees and educate the newbies about INO culture. The one thing that might slow the lines are newbies having a hard time deciding exactly what they want.

Yea...seen that place on Food TV often. They had an obese unofficial spokesperson...who dropped dead. He was replaced by another obese person. They were basically customers who eat that stuff every day is my understanding.

That Heart Attack Grill place is fascinating to me, though. Primarily, the fascination is how they use oil that has evolved over the years from an original grease/oil base that has been around as long as they have been in business. That was my first experience watching a burger being float cooked in a grease/oil that never dies...as if the burger doesn't have enough fat in it to cook it on a grill without oil. It's obviously about the taste, though. It certainly looked disgusting watching it being cooked. I wouldn't eat one. I'm sure I'm missing out, though.

Apparently a 2-3 hour wait at one of the locations with police directing traffic. All this with tornadic thunderstorms passing through. Lolol!

I had them the last time I went to LA and I still can't figure out what the big deal is, they were good but I wasn't blown away or anything. That being said I'm not big on fast food burgers as is.

People shouldn't expect something miraculous from $2-3 burger. At the end of the day it is just fast food. However, it is the best fast food ever and the history, atmosphere and culture it brings will make it successful. There's no other place like it.

If anybody is watching their weight, order the burgers protein style, substitute the spread/sauce for ketchup and mustard instead and that should shed around 200 calories
