I've heard great things about Smashburger from friends in Denver. The Houston location is close enough to give it an audition. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend. Will report back.
The last time I had In-N-Out was in St. George, UT and it wasn't as good as I remembered when I had it in CA. Generally when I've had Whataburger they always seem consistently good. I'm going to throw Culvers into the mix here too as the first time I had one I thought it was incredible. Expansion seems to have hurt them some but they are still pretty good and definately comparable to In-N-Out or Whataburger. Also while I think In-N-Out is good its not the best CA burger as Tommy Burgers and Nations are better.
On the subject of burgers I finally got around to going to one of the Sonics that opened in the last few years in MN and I was really dissapointed.
Wrong. I dislike California and much prefer living in the State of Texas, but this debate is not even close. Waterburger is a generic grease trap like every other two-bit burger joint that employs minimum wagers unlikely to care about the quality of your food. In-N-Out actually pays their employees above the min and offers benefits, which I think is another reason the food comes out better tasting. Lets admit together that In-N-Out is better than Waterburger. Change is good. YES WE CAN.
Hooters is for wings! Everything else there is overpriced. I just had a Mooyah burger here in the Dallas area. It was pretty good, but I'm not a huge fan of burgers anymore (I probably have about 5 a year) and I think I could've spent my $8.50 better (without drink and fries, it would've been cheaper, of course). I still want to try In n Out. I've been to California a few times and can't believe I still haven't tried that place. As for the chain places, I think Burger King would be my favorite. I never liked Whataburger much - heck, I'd probably take a Big Mac over them. *runs for cover*
Becks Prime. FuddRucckers>In-n-Out Burger King>In-n-Out MickeyD's>In-n-Out TexasBurger>In-n-Out WHATABURGER>In-n-Out WhiteCastle>In-n-Out HamburgerHelper>In-n-Out Stop-N-Go microwave Burger>In-n-Out Landry fades back, shoots the 3 at the buzzer.......................... YES! and thats the game!
You are entitled to your own opinion. However your opinion is largely considered to be wrong. If you're fine with that, so am I.
so guys, what albums are you listening to? I have dashboard on my ipod. Lets take a poll to see which song is the best and would you hit that miley cyrus?
In n Out burgers are great if they slightly toast the bun in butter without burning it. If you find a place like that, you'll want to go there over the others. The wait is unbelievable though. 15 minutes for a burger on an off hour, add another 10 minutes for lunch or after 6PM. $1.55 for a basic/animal style hamburger is still one of the cheapest for its value. I miss it, but thinking about the wait dulls the craving.
As I no longer eat meat, I can't comment on In-N-Out versus Whataburger, especially since neither offer a vegetarian option. I guess I could definitely see Whataburger losing customers if they did that, but In and Out being out West there, you'd think there is one - maybe there is, just not on the menu on-line. Apparently this concept called Burgerville is really popular up in the Northwest....and they do have a couple of decent sounding veg options. sorry to cloud all of your minds with non-meat burgers. I did find the below funny. Clearly, it's a matter of personal taste.
I hear ya.....It's not like we beat you 2 times a year for 4 straight seasons, and are the only team in the NFL with a lifetime winning record against the Raiders!
Well they do have the grilled cheese on the "secret menu." From what I hear it is basically the same thing (lettuce, tomato, cheese, thousand island), just no meat. They grill it up so it melts the cheese though. Hella big amount of calories and fat, but I love the taste of in-n-out. Their fries are great. I will be getting the grilled cheese with grilled onions and an order of fries when we get to Tucson on Friday. Then I'm determined to eat healthy for the rest of the trip.
In-n-out has some delicious goodness to it. Whataburger. Meh. Could be worse. Could be an anchovies cooch.
Dude, I've eating Burgerville. Once. It was terrible, and I never went back. It had some strange sweet-ish sauce on the burger. And I'll eat just about anything, but that was awful.
