I'VE NEVER HAD IT, BUT I'M TOLD IT'S WITH GRILLED ONIONS. I KNOW "PROTIEN" STYLE IS WITH NO BUN. I THINK THERE'S ONE MORE BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. I'LL ASK NEXT TIMT I'M THERE.

CORRECTION. "ANIMAL STYLE" IS (1) MUSTARD GRILLED INTO THE BUN, (2) ADD PICKLES, AND (3) EXTRA SAUCE. OTHER THAN "PROTIEN STYLE" THERE IS NO OTHER STYLE.

IN-N-OUT TRIES TO STAY EXCLUSIVELY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BUT THEY HAVE BEEN MADE LUCRATIVE OFFERS IN PLACES LIKE LAS VEGAS AND PHOENIX AND HAVE FRANCHISED THERE.

In N Out is only in 3 states : Cali, Arizona, and Nevada.

Carl's Jr. has a couple of Texas locations, though, if you're into that.

FYI, I heard Krystal opened a new location in Waco. Supposedly they had like 250 people there for the grand opening. I'm not a huge fan of sliders, but they can really hit the spot when you're drunk. Krystal's is basically the Southern version of White Castle. The burgers have mustard in them.

I only know of one Krystal burger in the Houston area, and it is on fm 1960.

I have never been, but been wanting to go.

Anyone who puts an In N Out location in the Uptown/Galleria/Midtown area or any other upscale area will make a killing. There are so many hype over substance/trendy type of people there to be had. I like I-N-O myself, but it ain't exactly a culinary orgasm in your mouth. It's just another fast food joint that found a niche in the market and a bit of following because of it's limited locations. It's hype makes it almost like the real life version of the Big Kahuna Burger (Jules: "That's that Hawaiian burger joint. I heard they got some tasty burgers. I ain't never had one myself, how are they?...")

One place I need to go back to is Fatburger, haven't been to one in awhile. One thing I liked about them is the variety of ways to have your burger, something that I-N-O lacks. If anyone wants to clog their arteries big time try the double Turkey Burger with cheese/chili/bacon/and eggs in it, with a side of chili cheese fries. Just don't forget to bring some Tums.

Dan's Hamburgers has the best burgers in Austin, best fast-food burgers I have ever had.

They have a Krystal's in Dallas. The people I've talked to either say it's nasty as hell or "not too bad and you get your money's worth". I don't know what to make of those responses... lol.

If they opened a couple of White Castles in Houston, it would almost be a national event. For those who haven't had the real sliders, Krystal's definitely falls short of the mark. If Krystal's were better, I'd go there all the time because I'm a White Castle fanatic.

I was really pumped the first time I went to In-N-Out, but it was very unspectaculuar. Definitely a lot of hype.

We have lots of Carl's Jr.'s around here and it's definitely my favorite fast food joint around here. But I definitely miss Whataburger.

I agree with Fatty, though. Local joints are always the best.

Krystal burgers are terrible. I can remember being hungry and so drunk I couldn't walk while in New Orleans one year, and even then Krystal burgers tasted like crap.

My comment on In N Out Burger is they are very good. For me, they aren't close to White Castle. When I go to LA and get a burger, it's always In N Out, but I don't make it a point to go there.
