I love In-N-Out. I love Fatburger even more. I also love Whataburger. I appreciate Whataburger now more because I'm in California. But honestly I think Fatburgers are the best out there. They are a little more pricey and so I get them less often, but they are great, and that place has the best shakes available.

How could anyone believe that a discussion about fast food is, in any way, pretentious?

Yeah, charred Fatburgers are hard to beat FB. About the beefiest tasting burger I've ever had, reminds me of the old GM Steahouse on the drag in Austin...way back when it was good.

Still, In-n-Out has it's own unique flavor.

Couldn't agree more ... I moved out to SoCal almost 4 years ago, and I've probably only eaten there 4-5 times. Its ok, but to me In-n-out is nothing spectacular.

To be honest I really do miss Whataburger much more than I like in-n-out.

Whataburgers are overrated. I don't see why people think it's an exceptional burger.

I agree that In-n-Out and Hardees are over-rated.

I know that I could out-Whataburger all of you.

Has anyone ever ordered a Whataburger with everything? And I mean EVERYTHING. It's a little pricy, but damn it's good.

I can't figure it out either. Maybe some folks found really good ones since their quality varies a lot. My wife loves them, but they'd be my last choice.

Whataburger....mmmmm. #5 (bacon, cheese) with jalapenos. Screw in-n-out. But Tookies is the best, hands down.

I've never been to In-n-Out, so I can't say whether it is good or not.

Whataburger makes a damn good burger. Beck's Prime is better though.

To be fair, fast food burgers aren't easy to judge compared to local joints.

The "Gourmet burgers" at fast food places are always crap.

    McDonald's Arch Deluxe - Crap
Burger King's Angus Burgers - Crap
Jack in the Box's Colossus - actually, that was pretty good.

Again, I like to go local. But for every mood, there's a good fast-food burger.

If I'm feeling nostialgic for childhood, a Big Mac or a Quarter pounder from McDonald's hits the spot.

If I'm in the mood for a lot of veggies on my burger, then its Burger King's Whopper.

If I want absolutely no veggies, Jack in the Box's Ultimate Cheeseburger on Sourdough bread works.

And if I'm in the mood for jalepeno's on my burger, then Whataburger it is.

And whenever I'm around them, I gotta grab about fiteen Krystal burgers.

Anything substituted on sourdough hits the spot. Whether it's a jumbo jack (=cheap sourdough jack) or their dollar chicken sandwich.

Yeah, I know. That's the way I work. Pretty much I get on here every now and then for a few months, and then I'm writing up a storm for a few months.
