I don't think its becasue he played in a small city I just think that there are 10 players better than him in the history of the game.

that's b/c they simply look at the ring collection before anything else. if ralph was healthy, hakeem probably would have had 6 rings riht now and he'd be among the GOAT conversation. and like i said, think about those top 10 and ask yourself how many of them dominated on defense like dream did. dream would put 30 on you and shut you down.

See thats the thing thats a big if. Just look at the players thats in the GOAT conversation and how many rings and mvps they have. Mike 6 rings and 5 mvps Magic 5 rings 3 mvps Bird 3 rings 3 mvps Kareem 6 rings 6 mvps Russel 11 rings 5 mvps Wilt 2 rings 4 mvps. So yea if Hakeem had 6 rings he would be in the GOAT conversation becasue thats what you need to be up there unless you're like Wilt with ony 2 rings but you have almost every record in the books.

Tinman, your just arousing the hate for TMAC in this thread comparing him to the dream, this is dumb.

    Comparing a Center to a 2 guard?
Please i've seen some stupid things but wow...even though you added "Prime" stop turning us against the players we have now, dream got us 2 championships but he's not here now so why are you doing this?

I'm not trying to pick a fight, just curious, what 10 players would you take ahead of him?

For T-Mac to even be mentioned into a poll like this, he is going to have to make at least one deep run into the playoffs.

I am a huge Rockets fan, am 32(i'm including my age to show that I was around during Hakeem's time in Houston), and also a huge Hakeem fan. That being said if there was a draft right now of all the players in league history(during their primes) it would go something like this(I came up with this right off the top of my head so I might miss someone)
    1. Michael Jordan(no one better in all the key areas....offense, defense, makes teammates better, refuse to lose mentality.
    2. Wilt
    3. Russell(Hakeem was obviously better offensively but Russell was by far the greatest big man defender....ever)
    4. Kobe
    5. Shaq
    6. Magic
    7. Bird (we know now that Bird had back problems later in his career, but during his prime the guy was dominant.)
    8. Lebron(I think when all is said and done this guy could b way higher on this list)
    9. Hakeem (I put Hakeem just slightly ahead of Kareem just because of their peak years)
    10. Kareem
    .
    .

Is this a joke? Hakeem is better than anyone not named Jordan or Kareem

I don't have a problem with most of your list but how can Lebron be at 8 at the present time? Both Hakeem and Kareem achieved far more than him.

This comparison is definitely an insult to Hakeem.

LOL at those 20 children who would rather have T-back.....that's so damn funny. T-Back couldn’t even get us past the first round .....Hakeem won the whole thing almost on his OWN!!!!!!

T-back does not deserve this comparison, Hakeem’s in a different league, top 10 of ALL TIME, T-Back isn’t even in the Top 50.

Russell was the best big man of his era and so was Wilt. But Hakeem would kicked the snot out of either one.

Imagine the #s Dream would've put up vs. the comp that Wilt and Russell faced. Are you kidding me??!! Hell, think of what kind of #s Shaq would've put up too!
