I don't know how to respond other than to say that I'm flattered

Just don't post me up too often when we play or I may get suspicious :|

Do your co-workers like you or tolerate you?
Most of my classmates and coworkers like me. I try not to gossip and try to put others down because I genuinely enjoy everyone succeeding and being happy. Sometimes, however, it does not get recipricated which might be addressed by the next question.

    Are you a smart@ss?
Not really. I probably come off more condescending than a smartass. If I know something is incorrect, I usually step in and point it out. It's not for comedic value or self-insecurities, but because I think there is a better solution (which there usually is).

If yes, do you know when to turn it off/on?
Not really. I have likely been condescending my whole life, and I feel that it has been a game plan that works really well for me.

Do people find it easy to confide in you?
Pretty easily actually. People have confided a lot of secrets to me that either a) shouldn't be secrets, or b) should not have even been told to me

Does it matter to you whether or not people actually like you?
Absolutely. One cannot lead, one cannot advance, and one cannot be happy without the support of others. If people do not like you, then they likely want to see you fail because it brings happiness to their sense of vengence or justice. I want people to like me, but if it is my success that drives them away, then I have little concern about it. Smart people can be very jealous about opportunties that they did not receive but someone else did.

Most co-workers like me quite a bit. And I'm rarely ever a smartass at work.

However, when I'm working on and/or heading up projects, I have a very hard time containing my annoyance when someone isn't pulling their own weight or is just flat-out incompetent. This generally endears me even more to the productive people, while certainly creating a small list of unproductive people who try to steer clear of me. Which is fine with me.

Do your co-workers like you or tolerate you?
I can't really say how others feel about me but I haven't had a conflict at work for 10 years or so.

    Are you a smart@ss?
    yes

If yes, do you know when to turn it off/on?
    9 times out of 10

Do people find it easy to confide in you?
My job would be really hard if people couldn't confide in me. Sharing usually helps the process in psych hospitals.

Does it matter to you whether or not people actually like you?
I don't care either way. I'm there to work, not to make friends. Respect is the only thing that matters to me at work.

Do people find it easy to confide in you?

Does it matter to you whether or not people actually like you?

Only if they can have an influence on my job/pay.
