TS%, which does account for FTAs in sort of counting them as FGs, has Harden 9th. Durant and Lebron are the only star players ranked ahead of him. The next highest scorer with higher TS% than Harden? KMart with 14.9ppg.

So yes, even accounting for FTs, Harden is SUPERSTAR!

Oh wow, I remember OJ Mayo had a hot start in the beginning of the season almost averaging the same points as Harden but he's fallen down to 17.5 ppg and he had that 40 point game against the Rockets.. what happened?

 

Thats what happens to most jump shooters who cant get to the line.

 

what if you shoot 20/50 from the line? your points per FGA would be high but that's not efficient.

This video talks about the loss of Harden and SAS finally calling Harden a star.

 

I had to read twice at "Harden and Durant" mentioned together in the middle of the Rockets roster, but then I remember the photos below... they certainly show something special, a strong bond between these two that is so classy and likable as you said. I've never cared much about SAS, but his comment about the joy that is missing in the current OKC duo made me take a look at them again.

They probably banned somebody that used your ISP and did a ban that looks something like this:
*.aol.com
where the asterisk means "anything" and so all AOL (or whatever ISP you guys are using) is banned. It likely looks more complicated than that, but I think you get the point.

 

I wouldn't go that far. You still have to play two sides of the court. I have no qualms saying he's the 3rd best offensive player in the league though.

Great call! Major props. I didn't see getting Harden as a realistic prospect at all, not until it was announced. Then I got really, really excited.
