    None of this makes sense.

Gasol helps us in now way he is a defensive liability on the perimeter and in the post at this stage.

And he cost 25million for most likely 2years.

So what is the actual liquidity of the all of the NBA owners and where does Tillman rank?

    since you've done the research?

Harris gets $8 million per year for 2 years, so it could have worked. Anyway, he was just an example. Point was that contributors can be acquired for that dollar amount, not necessarily that Joe Harris is better than CP3.

Regardless luxury tax payments do matter. Tilman ain't gonna pay a ton for multiple years, so we need more than what we're currently getting from CP3 as our #2 guy.

Cp3 is not reliable on both offense and defense. To win the championships, Morey has to trade for a #2 guy to replace Cp3. Anything else is not important.

    ...

Gasol has a higher Defensive Win Share , DefRebounding% , Defensive Box rating than Capela. He is in no way over the hill or worn down like Nene. Still moves well.

Not on Gobert's level, but he is a huge bonus to have defensively. Getting him for junk is far more valuable than another redundant SF with glaring flaws, if he picks up his option he is a huge expiring contract next year for a team that will be over the cap. that's called an asset. He may extend for cheap if things go well.

Just admit you haven't seen him play this season and are scared to go outside of your robot overlord Morey's spreadsheet zone. The team needs to diversify going into the playoffs and stop the embarrassing losses against weak opposition in the reg season.

OP is right. CP3 is starting to get a new injury everytime he steps on the court. What should the Rockets do?

What aggressive acquisitions are you talking about? You mean signing House? LOL! There is no aggressive acquisitions to be made as the Rox are already capped out. Any move they make now to better the team will involve trading away existing contracts and this is not affected by Cp3's salary at all. Rockets are only 6M above the lux tax you mean to tell me Tillman is so broke he cant even pay 12M in tax? He hasnt even paid anything yet, Morey can make trades to get under the tax line by the deadline.

You are clearly pulling **** out of your ass stop digging a deeper hole for yourself.

The only thing it would’ve changed is that the team would’ve been further away from the luxury tax line, but other that, this is spot on. Bringing CP3 back was really the only option for the Rockets to have a second elite player to pair with Harden for the next few years, while keeping Capela in the process.

I don't remember hearing too much whining about CP last year when
we had a 90% winning percentage when JH, CP and Clint started together.
    We also had
    - Best record in the West
    - Top seed in the West
    - Went to WCF
    - Had GSW down 3-2
Can't argue with that sort of success. Hence, the reason for the massive contract.

    Sure, injuries are a concern.
But, he's been effective when healthy. Hopefully he'll put injuries behind him and return to form.
Whining is not going to get us anywhere.

Lol look, we have no use for him on offense, he’s not a pick and roll threat and he would be camped on the theee point line. You talk Morey’s spreadsheets but list out a bunch of defensive stats that are flawed and don’t mean much.

You didn't hear any whining because all of the babies on the forum we're still sucking on their pacifier called Best Record in the NBA. Once that got taken away from their petulent mouths they start crying and whining.

In hindsight, yes, I did not see cp3 dropping so significantly between last year and this one. Perhaps he can regain form to be somewhat closer to last year's cp3?

One thing you have to admit about him though is that he really does care for the organizations he's left. Both times he could have walked away for free, he told management and had them make a trade so that they'd get back something at the very least. If he had been more selfish, both the clippers and rockets could have gotten him without lose core pieces. But anyway ...

Rapidly aging, declining, stop being such a drama queen. Season isn't over, and we're not even in the Playoffs yet. Ya'll need to chill and see how everything plays out before preaching your doom and gloom nonsense. Rockets still one of the top teams in the league (even with injuries to Capela and Paul), don't act like we're still 14th in the West.

There are a lot of people on here that haven't moved from their mom's teat onto bottled milk yet. Have patience with them.

I have seen him play and it's very evident he has lost a step.

He is not worth 25 million a year and is not the key to winning a championship.

    You don't have a clue.

Yay!!! Another Gloom and doom post by another pessimistic psychic. Seriously how can you not be enjoying this team right now. We are witnessing greatness and guys like you are whining about **** like this. Sit back and enjoy the ride man. Having a player like this doesn’t happen often.

People need to calm down and realize our title window is over as long as CP3 is on this team.

Just enjoy the NBA and Harden's route to back to back MVPs. Hopefully Harden can break Kobe's 81pt record in these couple years.

soreness is not an injury... I don't care if CP sits out every other game. As long as he's back by the first round.
