White conservative males have been complaining about "activist judges" and the "liberal media" since Brown v. Board and Civil Rights Movement, rather than acknowledge the injustice and brutality of their social policies they tried to invalidate progress by slandering the institutions historically and legally charged with reporting and ruling on the issues. For blacks and women to be treated fairly or equally, in the conservatives' minds, there just had to be something wrong with the system.

This is just as bad as the "Republicans are Terrorists" thread.

Not really, equating legislative votes to repeal unimplemented regulation with mass civilian murder is a lot less rational than paraphrasing and amplifying a portion of another party's documented political rhetoric.

Not really. The OP never mentioned a political party. He aimed his crap at "Liberals." Well, not all liberals are Democrats. I certainly am now, but I wasn't for years. It took me a long time to realize that working within the "system" was more effective than being an outsider complaining about everything. It's easy to sit back, whine and complain about either political party, and not really be involved. To not have a dog in that hunt, as we say in Texas. It's easy to b**** about Obama from in front of your laptop and never go to a party precinct meeting or a county convention and actually attempt to accomplish something, just as it would have been easy to whine and complain about George W. Bush, and never do more than fill out a ballot, if that.

There's a lot of b****ing and complaining in this forum, and my guess is that for most of you, casting a vote is the most you ever attempt to do, unless you consider posting here an accomplishment, politically. Considering the current state of this forum, I wouldn't put much value on the political impact of what one posts here, or what one reads. It is increasingly difficult to shake out the valuable posts from the "noise" of the trolls. It's also increasingly unpleasant to simply visit the forum and attempt to be entertained. I'm considering a bit of a hiatus from here, myself. Maybe once the season starts. It's simply not fun any longer. This thread is a perfect example. Nonsensical, repetitive, useless. Nothing original, nothing that hasn't been covered here ad nauseam.

Perhaps a better question is why white males trend conservative. They're the one demographic that historically hasn't had racial and/or gender obstacles placed in front of them. In that case, why would they want government or society involved to secure fairness and equal opportunity when they've always had the better end of that deal. They want to be "left alone" because they've always had the least barriers to success. Earth shattering self interest position there.

It's probably less a conspiratorial self interest than a different outlook on success and opportunities; which given their sample size makes their experiences technically the most likely outcome and partially validates their expectations and perspectives above others.

The idea that white male conservatives have it rough because of "liberals" is about as accurate as saying Republicans are "terrorists". Both ideas are stupid, inaccurate, and deflect attention from the real problems we all have to face.

It saddens me my fellow Rocket fans could state such astonishingly ignorant comments.

I hate to break it to you, but the world doesn't revolve around your simplistic monolithic view of race. It's disappointing that in the year 2013 you still harbor that simplistic view. Time to evolve, son.

Nothing like a partisan attack on the entirety of what they see as the enemy, beginning with letting them know how they think.

Kudos, sir, to you and your trolling. Do let us know how the new bait is working out for you.

Your feeble attempts to submerge your despair over your failed political positions is reaching a Macbethian level of comical pathos.

There is an inverse mathematical relation to the degree of failure of the GOP and the shrillness and number of your posts.
