I know this is a little late in his career, but does anyone think Francis can develop into a PG like Isiah Thomas? If you look at Isiah's Detroit team, it's very similar to the style the Rockets are trying to develop into, namely tough & physical defense, with more half court execution. Isiah is a high scoring PG, he lead the Pistons in socring/assist. What Francis lacks is the ballhandling which results many TOs, and his desicion making after penetration. Is is too late for him to make any improvement in those areas? If he can, then the Rockets should be fine without any major trade. I honestly don't think Francis can play 2 because he has to have the ball in his hands to be effective, plus his size disadvantage at the 2 requires the Rockets to acquire a bigger PG. So the question is, "Can Francis be a poor mans Thomas?" --daoshi
