I'll make a really unpopular prediction:

    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Bosh
    Asik

Because Miami is heading toward the super-duper luxury tax, they have to break up the heatles. Wade is a hometown star and James is too good, so Bosh is the obvious choice to be moved. Their options will be limited since they want a big return, but can't take back much salary. They will finally settle on Houston's package centered around Morris, Smith, Jones, draft picks and whatever d-league fodder we signed to 3 year non-guaranteed deals (they'll lose their lobby for parsons to be included). They like it because they get cap relief and three guys on cheap rookie contracts, and try to sell to their fans that they'll still be competitive and think they'll blend really well, etc. etc. Houston fans will hate the trade, but then accept it when Bosh fits really well as an inside threat but also being able to spread the floor and let the guards penetrate.

To the people who don't think we can't get another premier player, why not? James Harden was acquired for Kevin Martin and some unknowns. Fact is, it came out of no where and Harden may be a top 5 player in the league arguably.

Lebron,Durant,Westbrook,Kobe, Harden? Anthony, healthy Rose, healthy Love, Wade.

OKC had arguably 3 top 5 players on that team. Incredible.

One more allstar-caliber player at the 4 spot, and another good bench player make this team a contender. Wish we could have grabbed a Caron Butler/Tim Jamison kind of player for the bench. Guys like these really help out.

    Harden
    Parsons
    Patterson
    Bosh

    Lin
    Wade
    Lebron
    Battier
    Omer

Elite teams always have elite talent. We have one guy. This team's ceiling is the 2nd round. And the Lakers problem is that they are old, and Howard is still injured.

Then...the rockets would say no. You have to remember they consider Omer to be basically a star on defense, and now that he is scoring too it's like found money. Chalmers really isn't good enough to be a starter anywhere other than Miami, and Bosh/Patterson is a small frontline. Also I think Miami balks at dishing 30million to asik and Lin in the same year. I know it counts as less against the cap, but it's still real money.

First I think you're probably undervaluing KMart and what he can do for the right team on offense. The second thing is the other assets (2 first round picks and a 2nd) plus Lamb(a mid 1st round pick) that we gave up. We gave up a lot to get Harden, but he has proven himself 10x over on offense as "the Man". The third thing to remember was that Harden was not an all star last year. He was probably a top 25 to 30 player in the league. Now he's probably rated top 15 because he improved his numbers even without KD and Westbrook.

What do you think you would have to give up for a top 10 or top 20 player? Most likely you would have to give up your best(Harden) or 2nd best player, a few role players to get the salary #'s to match and probably a few high draft picks. KMart had a proven career of 20+ pts pg. None of the young players we have that you'd be willing to give up have a proven record like KMart had. They have potential, but that probably won't get you a top 10 player in return.

I wish I actually believed this could happen. Bosh would be the perfect fit on this team, and I think we would be title contenders the moment he stepped onto the roster. But I doubt the Heat will break up the big three.

yeah, because this lineup improves our defense and shores up our sorely lacking #1 rated offense...

How do we get Curry and Barnes? They are two of the Warriors most prized assets. Jeremy Lin and Parsons are nowhere near enough to get the deal done.

Actually it does because Harden wouldn't have to carry the load on offense on his own and could concentrate on both the offensive and defensive end...

The Rockets aren't desperate for a PF especially when the Rockets front court have been out playing other teams front court (like Memphis, Lakers, Minnesota, Chicago, etc)...

I thought this thread was "What would we like to see"... Didn't know it had to be realistic like every one else's ;) But with that said... they should roll with what they got for the next two years and save their money so they can go after L. James when he becomes a free agent...

    Then I'd like to see:

    Paul
    Harden
    LeBron
    Ibaka
    Asik
