I don't think he has an opinion on the Whitehouse. He's fighting the brave fight to uncover the pretentious liberals on the BBS.
Thanks for the reply. It's kind of a remarkable take. It's like saying, "I don't follow the Rockets. I just follow the media conspiracy related to the Rockets." But I'll take you at your word. FWIW, I don't follow the Whitehouse either, but their response to the rest of the planet forms the headlines of whatever news outlet I take in on any given day. I am impressed if you can avoid the Whitehouse statements and responses to their daily issues.
Well put. Again to quote Justin Amash "if impeachment isn't for this then what is it for?" The Founders foresaw a situation like this and clearly understood that in order to maintain the separation of powers the check of impeachment was put in the hands of the Legislative branch. While the election does represent a check by the people. Our government isn't a pure democracy and the more than that the Founders where very aware of the dangers of a demagogue who could sway the masses. That is why we have a republican form of government and it is not only the purview of or our elected representatives but also their duty to act as a check against the executive.
I can assure you I have never been upset about bad news for the President. What about you @mick fry ? I assume you know deflection is not the first or second or any step actually.
Look, I know Mitch the traitor is blocking everything. My proposal presupposes that he will on board to pass legislation that would benefit a lot of people. Like I said, this is dicey cause you really can't trust them. Pelosi is likely smarter and definitely politically shrewder than most everyone here so she is likely doing the right thing going the impeachment route. I would be intrigued to see what the other side would give in to save Trump from an impeachment spectacle. I suspect Trump would give a LOT, but he needs the Senate to dance as well.
Perilous times for Trump: By 45%-38%, Americans support impeaching him over Ukraine allegations, poll finds https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...utm_campaign=usatodaycomwashington-topstories
If I’m right ( and I didn’t come up w the idea by any stretch) then people will cling to hope of “winning” like a person pushing herbal supplements in the face of a terminal cancer diagnosis. The real tragedy of the whole thing: 1. Millions of middle Americans feel completely abandoned by the system. 2. Shyster exploits this, becomes champion. 3. However he exits, shyster will make self angry martyr, insulting every other institution in the nation. 4. Those whole felt abandoned will feel worse than ever and three times as angry.
Your opinion is that impeachment is a future deterrent if there is another president like Trump that has no shame and he is in no real danger of being removed from office, a historical footnote is not a deterrent. What exactly will his consequence be for after the house impeaches him? This was a hypothetical question yet its amazing you feel impeaching a president who most likely will not be reelected is more important than getting tangible things that will actually help people. How does impeaching Trump help the Daca people or those who wake up in fear of being deported everyday.
There are all kinds of plea bargains and a lot of them have no punishment or restriction. I have no idea what you mean by giving us money from a public fund I have not in any way alluded to that. I am not saying Trump should be pardoned he still has criminal liabilities once he leaves office. Again I ask what is his punishment from impeachment if he still continues to be president? I am all for impeachment but at the end of the day I think its a waste of time since he is coming up for reelection and its highly probable the Senate will not convict. So yeah if there was a way something could actually be accomplished and real peoples lives could be impacted for the better yes I would make a deal. I also realize that could never happen.
