I understand he wants to focus on what the team can do better, fair play but...man I wish he would have torched these refs tonight.

We play the Lakers and Warriors next and so it won't get easier. You have to call these MFs out so that they know you see their BS and demand respect from them.

 

At home they would have won, road games are tougher for a reason.

Hahaha. Ime looks like he either just ripped it into them or he's about to rip into them. Good. You learn more from losses than you do from wins when there's a teacher in place to highlight the reasons.

I know everyone's disappointed but this was actually a great loss for us. We just got out-smarted by a bunch of savvy vets who benched their one guy who doesn't know how to make smart plays (WB). We were the better team but came up against 3 guys (George/Harden/Kawhi) who have more experience than our entire rotation and it showed. The things that made us lose are things this team has to learn - reaching, fouling stupidly, rushing shots that the opponent wants you to take, making things difficult on ourselves, being too cute with our finishing. The team seemed to be overwhelmed by the crowd getting loud. We really needed something like this early in the season because we've been working on basic fundamentals and it's now time to get into the intermediate lessons before getting to the expert lessons. I'm excited for how the team responds to this loss, it will be a good barometer.

To lose by 1 shot to the Clippers on the road is ok. I know they had lost 6 straight, but that's really because Lue stupidly had 2 non/bad shooters starting in Zubac and WB and you just can NOT do that in the NBA anymore. They're going to win like 7 of their next 10 games and we're going to realize we lost to a really good team in the first game that they actually got things going.

This season is playing out like a screenwriter wrote it. James Harden gets his first start as the PG and drains the winner against the Houston Rockets. Somewhere later in this season, a win against the Clippers will be a turning point and the toxicity of the James Harden era will be fully gone. I look forward to it.
