Ime Udoka on Anthony Edwards: "It's nice to have a special player that can get buckets at the end."

Don't forget, Jabari has hit some big shots in his young career. The game tying 3 against Indiana, and then one game winner (2 if you count that SL winner). He isn't going to create an open shot for a teammate, but he has the ability to rise up and make big shots. A guy like that is invaluable in these late game situations we've been seeing recently.

Jalen Green has had four years to develop into that guy. If he hasn’t by now, the odds he does so aren’t very high.

Amen Thompson needs to have an offseason regime of taking 1,000 shots a day, the majority being threes. If he can develop a reliable outside shot like Anthony Edwards has done, there’s the Rockets future number one option.

 

Jalen is literally the worst iso player in the nba so not sure how that helps.

 

Say what you want about Jabari and Fred, but this team is missing them right now. Both of them.

Everyone should be frustrated with this losing streak. I'm a Ime fan, and critical of Jalen, but I wish he hadn't made the comment about special players who can get buckets. If Jalen had Fred's make up it might light a fire, but I'm afraid Jalen is too fragile to hear that. I'm afraid it's going to cripple him. I hope it doesn't. I hope it pisses him off that he'll play with the chip on his shoulder he's never seemed to have. But oh man, I wish Ime didn't let that comment loose.

last time I checked, they took responsibility a lot when their teams lost. Especially Pop and Spo. Show me one time when Ime did? All he does is call them out for their lack of toughness and criticize their scoring ability. I can't recall ONE time that Ime said hey, that's on me. Meanwhile I can find more than half a dozen from Spo and Kerr this season alone. What the hell has Ime done to be so arrogant?

Sengun's the allstar & presumed "best player" but yet we're talking about Jalen not hitting shots. I think Ime was directing this at Sengun more than Jalen

Isn't it Your Fault Ime Udoka that you wanted Fred VanVleet over James Harden. Own up the Huge Mistake.

 

Even Charles Barkley got pissed at Ime Udoka saying I like Fred VanVleet but Jalen Green should've taken the last shot against the Grizzlies.

That is a huge problem, not trusting your best Scorer to make the Final Shot. Give him more opportunities.

For Heaven sake, how about calling and setting up picks for Jalen Green so he can get more open shots.

 

Why is that funny. It's pretty accurate. He's definitely bottom 5%. Of all the players with his volume he's shooting 30% on those plays and that doesn't even count the turnovers.
