He usually states that he does not care about makes or misses but the quality of shots or looks. However, with makes he has a moderate attitude (still not happy), and with misses he has a hidden harsh attitude. All the suppressed sentences come out of his mouth with a neutral tone. This is who he is and it seems to work.

 

It hasn't worked in last 5 games, Rockets play shellshocked in 2nd half especially in winning time. He needs to adjust as well.

 

I know this last week has been frustrating but everyone gotta relax (Ime included). We’ll be fine. We’ve had some close losses and a tough road schedule with 8 of the last 9 games away. FVV being out doesn’t help when we’re primarily running Brooks and a bunch of kids 23 and under.

Fred played the first 2 games of this 5 game losing streak. His return is not an automatic fix to these pre-existing issues. Same with Jabari, Rockets were just squeezing out close wins which finally caught up with us because the league adjusted + Rockets have yet to counter.

 

We have Jalen Green. A player that somehow has fooled most Rockets fan by having some a chunk of explosive games here or there.

 

Nah people on this forum will defend Green till their last breath. 4th year in and he’s still the same player fooling us with his highs and lows. He’s Jordan Clarkson 2.0 and we need to move on this offseason

I agree he isn't Ant, but he doesn't have to be for the Rockets to win. we need a clutch closer and a steadying hand/consistently reliable two-way player. fred sometimes ticks these boxes for us, Fox would be the clear upgrade we need in these areas.

Fred’s missed the last 4 games basically if we include the first of the Brooklyn loss since he barely played before he got hurt. Combined with Bari being out and Sengun missing games. Like you said we’ve squeezed out close wins against top teams so it’s not like we’re not capable. Health/depth and long road trips take a toll.

 

Ed is not a realisitc target, but not trying to get Marcus Smart is unacceptable.

 

If he can only make 2s and they are shooting 3s, why keep going to him?

All we heard last off season was that he was working on his 3pt shot. He takes 1 or 2 per game?

Udoka's system is brutally taxing physically + mentally + even Celts struggled at mid point mark under Ime the season he took BOS all the way to NBA Finals. Rockets need to heal mentally + physically as well as find that dog in themselves for stretch run.
