Tilman doesn’t seem like the guy who wants somebody’s leftovers.. aka Harden…. Also doesn’t seem like the kind who will deal with losing now that the most blatant tank job I’ve ever seen is done

I bet Tilman & Patrick have a lot more pride in this organization now that the tank is over

 

I’m completely sold on him from a basketball perspective. Dude can cook. The personal stuff is still out….and this is his chance to right the ship. I’m entirely certain he knows that.

By the way…this city we call Houston is ****ing amazing. We’re turning a corner really quickly talking about some really big names wanting to be here, despite the fact we’ve put up 3 years of absolute garbage. It’s not about the franchise…it’s about the city. Our city.

I’m gonna repeat what I said when the chances of this looked bleak:

For next year, whether getting Wemby or not, signing Harden or not, will make the biggest difference.

For the next decade, there is no move bigger than hiring Udoka. This is the only guy on the market, one of the only coaches in the league, that can set the culture of a team - like a Spolestra or Kerr, or even Dantoni or JVG…whether you like them or not, an identity. All the great organizations have that, it’s a foundational piece, so in many ways this is a bigger move than anything else we could have done.
