Ridiculous if it’s consensual. Also depends who it is, part of his staff or someone he has no power over. In any case, if both are in agreement about what they’re doing, I don’t see the problem. A reminder not to violate protocol w/ a paid / unpaid leave of absence for a month or something, but a full season?!
wonder how he was caught. did they do it in the office with cameras? where is the vid available on the web?
Sometimes these women being cheated on are not the catches dudes think they are. The line goes something like, for every fine woman there's a man who's tired of her. Who knows what type of "marriage" they have.
If it's really with her then it's crazy to me that he would be punished at all. She's a grown woman, highly educated, and very successful. She would not have been taken advantage of by him or anything like that. My assumption was that it was some college-aged intern or something where the power dynamic would have been a real force. Is it normal for sports teams to not allow relations among ANYONE who works in the organizations?
I agree with you but anytime a supervisor beds an employee there is a risk of blowback and there will always be a power dynamic. They probably have some kind of consent form or report that they never used because it was supposed to be on the low low.
If she reports to him then that's an issue, for sure. But I just assumed the VP of Player Development would roll up to someone else. But yeah, her credentials are fantastic: https://www.sloansportsconference.com/people/allison-feaster
Actually, many organizations say you need to report any employee relationships, so it's not just reporting to him. This saves them from he said she said for any harassment allegations.
