Jabari minutes killed us. We should close the game with Amen and Tari. I'm tired of these comebacks that ends up being a heart breaking L. Late game execution and rotation has been poor.

 

Didn't Jalen shoot like 8-24 from the floor for 21 points?

Jalen hasn't really been good since like the 3rd game of the season.

Now some of that is the atrocious spacing, but some of it is that Jalen just hasn't been good.

Jalen is now shooting 39% from the field and 32% from 3 this season.

Jalen has now shot 50% or better from the field twice in 15 games.......... over the last ten games he is averaging 15 points a game and hasn't been efficient about it.

God knows that Jalen isn't the only Rocket struggling on the offensive end, but he is supposed to be the main guy on that side of the ball and he really hasn't been outside of the first few games.

I will give him credit for his defense getting better - and he has played tougher - but they really need him to be a 25+ point a game scorer with decent efficiency.

 

You can't shoot 40 percent from the field and expect to win, we should have blown these guys out with it being that close. Tired legs from a road back to back is what I saw, on to the next...

 

It was there for the taking...and We literally fumbled it away.

But these are the type of games that they can learn from and build on it. A stingy loss against a (struggling) contender on their court, with shady reffing on top, and We still had it until the end. Better to lose them now than in April/May, I guess.

It will be interesting to see how the team responds tommorrow.

 

I get what Coach is trying to say - we missed open shots and missed assignments on defence, especially for Lopez and Trent.

But I don't really like this thing where he says they missed open shots. The offense generating open shots is not something special. Generating high percentage shots is what we need. Ball and player movement that lead to easy lay ups and dunks.

 

Ime still does not own up to his mistakes, definitely dislike his fake holding players accountable act in these interviews.

We lost because of a misprint on the scouting report that said "don't close out on Lopez" instead of "do close out on Lopez"

 

Fun fact….twice I have posted that Jabrari should be sent to the g-league (once last year and once this year) and both times he had the best games of his career the day after those posts.

 

You mean Dillon Brooks isn’t a closer??? Udoka lost this one for us when he replaced Eason with Brooks. I immediately had a sinking feeling when I saw him standing on the sidelines to replace Eason.
