It was big that when Dillon Brooks subbed out midway in the 3rd quarter, Udoka never put him back in.

I have never surprised that much when I learned that Sudoku was originally American, not Japanese.

Where are all the guys who said increasing the pace is not necessarily good for a highly athletic squad - demanding I prove this outrageous statement? That the increased pace won’t matter for Jalen? What about the guy who flipped out because I said we need more pace and space because we’ve maxed out FVV-Sengun PnR?

Udoka is doing everything I hoped. Thank god he sees it. Btw the entire starting lineup is better on faster pace except Brooks and to a much lesser extent FVV. Sengun-Green-Jabari are all better when we play faster and those are our core players. Cam, Amen and Tari thrive there too.

The board is sometimes really stupidly stubborn. How could it possibly have been a good idea to run a play more than any other play in the NBA and run it at one of the slowest paces in the league? Unless you have Shaq and Kobe that’s not going to work. Rockets are finding an offensive identity that suits the players rather than the coach. Huge props to Udoka for setting his ego aside. It even seems to have ignited Greens defensive energy because there’s actual rewards to come from it (transition).

Except the Rockets' pace was way below their season average yesterday, lol.

The Rockets winning yesterday had absolutely nothing to do with pace and had everything to do with the Blazers being a trash and tanking team.

Jalen is not playing better because the Rockets are playing with more pace; he's playing better because he actually made some wide open 3s in the last few games he missed all season.

Imagine having a garage full of Lambos and Ferraris and you would rather pull out the Fiat Egea because it’s safe and reliable! :D

The Rockets rebuild has been kind of a **** show but Blazers fans have to be very disappointed that this is the product they have to look forward to for the next month.

No Scoot, No Sharpe, just Simons, Dylan O'Bannon, and a bunch of g league players.

They should've taken a discount on Ayton when they could and been Wizards/Pistons bad

I'm telling y'all... Jalen-Cam-Amen-Jabari-Alpe let's see em together coach. The only thing I think they need is Jalen or Amen to play the Fred role and know when it's time to pump the brakes and get Alpe a post touch.

Did you start watching yesterday? Udoka has been talking about pace for weeks and we’ve move dramatically to the rankings.

Against the Blazers we had our season high in transition so even though extreme pace wasn’t necessary we pushed in transition heavily.

I don’t know why the stubbornness about this. We are clearly lifting the pace and it’s clearly better for this roster. Can’t imagine a less suitable roster to go slow with.

I have also thought for a while that they should play faster, but it went hand in hand with involving Amen and Cam in the rotation. Trying to play a lot faster before they were trusted, would have been a disaster. Ime probably took a little longer to involve the rookies than he should have, but very few coaches, if any, will give rookies the necessary minutes to make that happen much sooner in the year. FVV and Brooks are not ideal for the fast pace and Ime was trying to win as many games he could early in the year and it was working until we had multiple injuries to top of rotation players at the same time. I have stated it a million times over the last 2 months: Amen should be on the court more than FVV, Jalen, or Brooks.

Enjoyed the win with many highlight plays from Jalen and excellent team defense to close it out. Solid team contribution all around.

I really like Amen dominating on defense and has an all-around game, driving, passing, rebounding, steals, and blocks. He'll just get better with time.

It's been a while since I've seen a Rockets rookie just lock up and destroy offensive players on some possessions.

Pace is nowhere near as important as you seem to think it is.

If you think Jalen will miraculously turn into a star because the Rockets are playing with more pace, prepare to be disappointed.
