What? He‘s the coach. He‘s not responsible whether players make or miss shots but he is responsible for the way they are setting up the offense. What are you trying to say?
I like your optimism and to be honest I'm not going to hate. We all root for this team. When it comes to most disciplines there is a continuum where in the middle certain aspects you can slack, go either way on. On that continuum there are key issues and things that when screwed up indicate impending / complete failure. Ime hits a bunch of those. KD is getting doubled because they're playing off everyone else and we can't make them pay for it. The goal isn't to bench your best shooter that spaced the floor and helped KD get open looks just because he gambled on defense once. Then you can't even stick to your stance and want to put him in the last 2 seconds after an entire quarter and OT go by. Worst of all, its terrible player development for a season of tanking/missing the playoffs to get that #3 pick Too many close games lost. No games to contending teams won. Too many players playing to their weaknesses and regressing.
I said exactly what I was trying to say. Its what you sound like right now. Im not the biggest Ime fan around but he is a great coach. The problem is the roster. It became a problem as soon as we got KD and no coach is gonna fix it. KD will get older and worst but because he's overated and shoots a good percentage as I said in the summer no one will blame him. I was being told "we wont blame ime we could just get rid of KD after one year if it doesnt work". No one here is saying that now though because KD is overated.
I think tactics in basketball are really not as hard as people make them out to be. Like there's no complex offensive system that will save this team. The offense works, it just needs the right personnel. You're not scoring much going double big with Amen out there, you just aren't. You could put SGA in the middle of that and you're still struggling to score. We see what happens, they just double the threat and the spacing dies. When the spacing looks good? The Rockets score easily and can beat any team but Ime has this infatuation with the double big lineup, an obsession that will not die. Does it work, yeah it does, and it did with Zion out there it was working. Noticed the Pels made an adjustment, Zion stopped playing, and we just didn't adjust back. The only thing is, Ime's teams have a consistency of getting better as the year goes on, so we'll see. Last year the double big saved the team because it was such a defensive focused team that they didn't need many points to win.... That's not this team this year though, the defense has slipped minus Brooks and even FVV who was pesky. He's going to have to adjust to coaching THIS team with KD, that means spacing the f'n floor and giving KD and Alpi a PG that can get them into their spots. It's kind of crazy to think, CP3 would save this team playing ten minutes a night if only just to prove the value of having a PG. Just play a PG the entire night that can shoot. It really is that simple. We have two on the roster right now. Just play them.
Our Procees is fckd right now! I expect this game to linger on our guys for a while. Too much podcasting not enough elbows thrown. If they can learn from the disaster, it's all good.

you guys want to see how out of touch he is, watch 1:29 onwards to see his understanding of the 3rd quarter where we turned the ball over 8 times. He pretty much gives the reporter the answer to why he didn't play Reed again. This guy is the biggest pos to coach this team
This team has had maybe the easiest schedule so far with the least back to backs in the league. Their record would probably be a lot worse otherwise. Ime is just one of those coaches where you never go into a game thinking “well at least we have the coaching advantage tonight”

As a business owner I hope Fertita understands that the captain of the ship has lost it, and keeping him on is a bigger risk for his investment than taking the loss on the stupid extensionthey gave him and getting a championship level coach like Mike Malone. When your offense is at a JV level and you can't get open looks, keep turning the ball over...that isn't a defensive issue. Its also clear that he likes to scapegoat his own fault onto Sheppard. Team losing respect for him for a reason. Take some accountability you piece of garbage
