YES. Cam's results would be better than Jalen Green's, provided Cam got all the minutes and opportunities that Green has received. Ime is all about accountability, yet runs Jalen Green out there every single game for extended minutes... contradictory!

Mazzulla is not a better coach than Ime. Stevens and Ime did the hard job with that group, and Mazzulla has continued it with an even better roster. Boston's offense is not particularly clever, they are just stacked with elite talent.

And yep, Rockets' positional offense leaves much to be desired, we need to improve it at some way. Not just adding talent, but collectively and tactically.

I agree wholeheartedly we need an offensive minded assistant to run the offense. I would love to see us run a Princeton / Adelman style offense. We have the people to do it.

Well maybe after Denver is eliminated we can get Adelman's son here for that.

Do we? We don't have any players aside from FVV who can handle the ball, create for others, and create for themselves consistently.

It's beyond me to take a look at this current roster and think we can run an actual offense......

Anyone can move off the ball and set a screen and back cut, so yes.

So you don't notice our players setting screens, cutting, and repositioning themselves?

Or you just think it's easy to have an entire offense based on that? Because the Rocket's issue is once their primary action blows up, things fall apart quickly.

Both Jalen and Fred are extremely steaky shooter. When they are on, they can't miss. When they are off, they stink up to high heaven. We have seen that with Jalen for 4 years and Fred for 2 years. There are exception games that they shoot poorly in the first half and came back great in the second half. But those are rare games. Most of the times, when they are bad, they are bad for the whole game. So there's no reason to bet on the guys turning a corner mid game.

The coach should recognize the pattern of his players. When either of those guys is clearly in an "off" game, they should sit and let somebody else try to see if they have a hot hand.

BTW, I understand Fred's importance as a vet leader. But he doesn't have to be on the floor for 40 minutes to be a leader.

We don't have much of an offense, we have a few basic PnRs or ISO plays where people stand on the perimeter in a catch and shoot or dunker spot lob - but we do not set off ball screens, we don't have people moving at all times, we are very easy to guard.

Here's a video of Ime running off ball screens for your Lord and Savior Cam:

Those are terrible, and it seems it is all backups, don't see Ime calling for it either.

So we do set screens off the ball then…..

And why does Ime personally need to direct everything. You do realize assistant coaches are also standing up and calling out assignments and plays….

Your personal vendetta against a coach who got us to the 2nd is a curious thing….. it’s very clear you are upset he doesn’t play “your guys”

FVV has shot 37% from 3 on 7 attempts for his career… you may want to look out how well he was shooting last season on 8 attempts.

I just think when you have this much experience over 9 seasons, you are given a longer lease to shoot.

I do understand fans’ concerns as it boils down to a lot of “but what have you done for me lately” but just adding some context.

I'll take an "assistant" on this team who can hit shots and playmake on the court. The coaches can't miss/hit the shots and they can't make the passes. This is very clearly a player problem.

By my count in a game where Jalen missed 12 shots, he had open guys available for 8 of them. Even if we only hit 32% of wide open shots, that's still an extra 6-9 points - in a 10 pt game. I talked about Jalen's inability to make plays to get others better shots but Fred is part of that problem too - I charted his shots and by my count 8 of his 15 missed shots are what I would call fairly open, good shots by a normal player...that he went 0-8 on and there were 4 other shots I thought were decent shots to take if maybe a little bit more rushed that he still missed(0-12).

If Jalen can score 7 points but manages to connect passes to those 8 open 3pt shots for his teammates and Fred is is able to hit relatively open shots, we win that game handily and there is no offensive assistant needed. The open shots are there - but we need players to either make them or pass to them when the defense converges and we have neither player on our team today - Cam and Jalen can't playmake and Fred and Reed can't seem to shoot(although Reed has improved of late). Two or 3 of those 4 need to be gone this offseason in exchange for an upgrade to this roster and preferably for two starters who can somewhat do both. It's time.

Fred might be a decent shooter on the whole. But he is still very streaky. He has really great shooting games and really terrible shooting games. We all talk about Jalen's inconsistency. Fred is actually the same. It's not about "what have you done for me lately." It's about the pattern of a player's performance.

FVV was the right fit for developing this team. Because of whom we drafted he is no longer a good fit. He is a slow pace player on what should be a fast paced team. He is not even an average creator for a PG. He is just a streaky methodical decent defensive combo guard. It is time to move on.

For being an understudy to one of the biggest curmudgeons in nba history, Ime is very open and respectful with the HTX media. I like that.

Ime has the whole "yelling at players during halftime" and "throwing players under the bus after the game" bits down, but he needs someone to come in and teach him how to be a coach.

You can't get by on vibes alone.
