That's cause Starwars is boring. Unless you grew up with it, I'm sorry I don't know how anybody could enjoy it.

How about just a theme park dedicated to Scifi in general? Have a big part of it dedicated to Star Wars, part of it to Star Trek, then a few general parts dedicated to various sci-fi films that were awesome.

He was talking about a six year old girl. Presumably, if she had liked it, she could have then "grown up with it."

Star Wars has a pretty big presence at the Disney Hollywood Studios, one of their parks in Orlando.

The old Star Tours ride is being completely redone in fact...in 3D. I think it goes back into operation this year after a while of rehab.

They have Star Wars Weekends....and they have a Jedi Training Academy about 4 times a day, where kids participate in an on-stage performance with Darth Vader or Darth Maul. Those characters and others are part of the parade through there everyday.

My 6 year old's favorite shirt is a tshirt he got at Disney with Mickey wearing an X-Wing pilot uniform standing in front of the Rebel Alliance symbol. My kids (6 and 10) are crazy for Star Wars.

 My daughters love the Star Wars "later" trilogy and have recently only begun to like the earlier ones.

I guess it's a problem with the more boring and more "intricate" ANH, TESB, and ROTJ.

it's really not difficult. 6 year old boys are kinda interested in things like lightsabers and spaceships. :) star wars kinda sells itself.

Yeah, but it can't hurt having a dad who says "that's no moon" five times a day! ;)

that is patently untrue. i have three boys, 9,7, and 4. they are all totally into star wars, as are their friends. i don't know what major malfunction your kids have.

Take a stroll through the toy department next time you hit Walmart/Target. It's alive and well thanks to the Clone Wars show.

The new My Little Pony and Care Bears cartoons might be more to her liking.

as mentioned Lucas is already tied in with the disney parks

Disneyland has Star Tours which is going renovations to make it more up to date with modern technology.

You can build your own light saber at the Buzz Lightyear Spaceport store as well as other unique Star Wars toys/legos and other goodies are there.

There is a Jedi Academy show at the Tomorrowland Terrace a few times daily for younger kids where they dress up as padwans and get to do stuff (havent seen the entire show just in passing)

as amazing as it may be to the huge star wars fans/geeks i dont think an entire park dedicated to star wars would do well financially as many people who just like the films may not be able to handle such an overload of star wars stuff. the only was is to have amazing one of a kind rides/rollercoasters that would attract people more than the fact that its tied to star wars itself. but even then the location matters...The Six Flags park out here near LA (Magic Mountain) will have the most roller coasters at a single park later this year once the new Green Lantern ride opens but hardly any people go there (and that park is tied with the bugs bunny/warners characters) because its location is about an hour outside of downtown LA in the middle of nowhere. Outside of summer, xmas and spring break times the six flags here is closed on weekdays. Maybe a star wars theme "land" at a current amusement park would be a good idea, but i cant see an entire park doing well

a whole theme park based on star wars would be a financial disaster for any investors involved.

I think the best they could do is maybe something like the Harry Potter attraction/mini theme park. Which they kind of do at Disney not really. They could turn one of the theme lands into StarWars Frontier or something. Take out the future world and just replace it with a star wars theme.
