Popcorn at night. You can eat a ton.

    Unless you're scared of carbs.

    thanks everyone.

I would not mind dropping 10-15 lbs, but the other problem is I don't sleep well when I over eat. I wake up run down.

I'm a 38 y/o, 6'2, 230 lbs, welder. As long as the sun is up I'm usually doing something. I eat a good breakfast. Lunch is something small. I can not eat a big lunch because I feel rotten the rest of the day. When its supper time I'm starved.

Gonna try to work something simple like protein bars in throughout the day. Hopefully with the time change I'll start eating earlier.

    thanks again

Awesome if true. The best defense for unhealthy eating is to not be as hungry. I will try this.

    Link.

Very true. Dressing is basically flavored fat.

I've been on turkey for a while, it's amazing... most serving sizes will be 1 gram of fat.

I recommend all guys eat tomatoes and bananas everyday. Tomatoes, great for your prostate. Bananas, good for cholesterol. Both make a great healthy snacks throughout the day.

On the nuts comments - I switched from nuts (unsalted/raw cashews and almonds mostly) to fruit (about 3-5 pieces during the day) and wound up losing about 5lbs over a month without changing any other part of my diet. Wasn't trying to lose weight or anything. Just something I noticed.

Nuts are very fatty. But they burn off quickly given a consistent exercise routine.

Also keeps the stomach full given the fat and fiber.

5HTP supplements help reduce overeating. Improved mood is another benefit. It's not a long term solution, but I'm happy with the results when I actually remember to take it.

Clif bars help. Lots of protein, so it fills you up...but not a lot of calories.

Never heard of these, so just looked them up. 20 grams of sugar?

It's hard get past the marketing and find actual healthy snacks these days. All these "power drinks" are basically just sugar-water and almost as bad as soda. Same thing with the popular power bars, apparently.

Not sure. I just know for about 250 calories, these have replaced meals for me when I've needed them to due to being to busy to stop for lunch.

Low carbs and high fiber, not an easy combo to find, but that's what will keep you full.

Like everybody has said you need to snack between your lunch and dinner. Go to the grocery store and buy apples, bannanas, yogurt, nuts, even beef jerky. Drink lots of water and snack on one of the following items I mentioned when you get hungry.
