Am not Brooks fanatic, all am saying is that he'll be the one of the top 5 PGs for the years to come, plus no one was talking about someone's age, I was just comparing CP3, Deron's, and Brooks years as starters, Age has nothing to do with it. so maybe you need to get grip.

I'm tired of people overrating AB to elite status too, while almost every other team has at least one player better than him, many teams have multiple players better than him.

AB is a very good SG in a PG's body, with a handle better than most SGs and no defense.

    Oh choiuje!

So good to see you buddy. What happened to the pages and pages of posts you made claiming Brooks was unclutch? You haven't shown up for a while?

And overrating him? Have you once given AB props? All you EVER do is hate on the guy and everybody can testify to that. Its is so unbelievable ironic that you think it is overrating.

Now tell me do you think Yao is overrated on this board? With all the people claiming he will bring us a champioinship after countless injuries year after year?

Your double standards are downright disgusting.

Don't reply to him, he obviously believes rondo belongs in there and is that much better than brooks.

And at the same time he thinks its called overrating.

A lot like the fat mother stopping her famished, starving son from eating because she thinks he is too fat.

I wouldn't miss Yao if he got traded. I watched the rockets play when I was a kid during the championships. I'm a team-fan.

There you go again with the passive-aggressive remarks. Stick to discussing the issue instead of criticizing me personally, or comparing me to a starved fat kid.

Around the NBA, beyond the rockets organization, is anyone mentioning AB in the same sentence as rondo, rose, curry, evans, paul, and jennings? I'm not so sure. And half of those guys I mentioned are rookies.

    I actually like Rondo.

His shot is horrible. It's the only thing stopping him from being Elite

Kinda like Brooks Passing/Vision is what's keeping him from being Elite.

Curry is already getting rookie of the year nods, and a whole lot more attention around the league than what Brooks got in his rookie year. My opinion is that he is future superstar.

how old was nash when he started getting recognition as a top PG? its not about age, its what you do with an opportunity when one presents itself. AB has done a lot with his.

hes not top tier yet, but id be less than surprised if he ends up in the conversation after a few seasons.

He is a point guard with the scoring abilities of a shooting guard. Look at his assists this year and keep in mind who he played with the majority of the season, and that Rick Adelman's system is known to decrease assist numbers for PGs (Morey said it himself).

    You are being ridiculous.

I still don't know who has been discussing getting rid of AB without including names like Bosh, Amare, Williams or Paul in the same sentence?

Another thing, everyone keeps saying this is AB's 1st year but IT'S NOT, this is his 3rd year and 1st as a starter. You can't go compare this year to Williams, Paul's or even Westbrook's 1st year because those guys played from the very beginning. Aaron had the major advantage of sitting and learning until he was ready those guys did not.

I wouldn't hate on Brooks so much if the guy didn't have such awful point guard skills. Hopefully he works on that part of his game in the offseason.

There are only 2 elite PG's right now.

    Chris Paul and Deron Williams.

It is clear as day that Aaron Brooks is not in that category. He's a good PG though.

Next season playing alongside Yao and Martin all year:

19+ PPG on about 15 shots per game
    7+ APG
    45+ percent shooting
    39+ percent 3P%

Book it. If you don't consider those stats elite, I don't even know what to tell you.

i dont understand why people think hes reached his ceiling already. hes improved steadily this season, and is going to be on a better team next year
(barring a trade to a crappy team).

hes still young. let him grow.

Wow, do AB-can-do-nothing-wrong guys like you make accuses based on fact anymore? I think not.

Go check the "AB unclutch" thread and tell me what I said about AB when he wasn't hitting his clutch shots?

Give you a hint: I only made one post when AB was getting flamed for not making clutch shots. It can be found in one of the first 4 pages, I believe.

Have I give AB props? Of course, in many posts, like the one I voted AB as this team's MVP, you can find that too if you spend time.

I'm objective, give AB props for what he's earned, point out his short comings unlike you ' AB can't do anything wrong" people on this board. He's a very good player, but not an All star yet, and certainly not elite.
