I honestly just don't like how he's 25 already. I love everything else about the kid.

People complain here to make sure their voices or messages are heard. Since the Rockets have no stars they expect AB to be that star since he has the most potential. Point guards are the easiest to point out since they are in most cases the captains. People will blame anyone and everyone except maybe Budinger and Hill. Ariza is a target since we just signed him to a big contract, Martin was when he first got here. Chuck Hayes is a target cause he misses lay ups. Battier because people believe he is washed up. The Garm is a scary depressing place at times which is why I avoid it. Brooks is a solid point guard and will only get better with time. He is not at Deron Williams, Steve Nash but we don't really need him to be that way. He has a role with this team and plays him at the level we need him to.

what does it matter where a guy is drafted? that's irrelevant, all that matters is how they perform on that basketball court when given the chance. It's funny you mentioned Derrick Rose, that's a guy with a lot of talent and a bigger point guard, but you can't really be serious in thinking that he effects a game more then AB,can you? all you have to do is play off him,he can't shoot a lick neither can Rondo. Chris Paul is a great point guard but man he hogs the ball i can scarcely remember a point guard who hold the ball as much as he does. given age, the only point guard that i would clearly trade AB for is Derron Williams.

Naw I'm not that guy wrong Nationality, it's just laughable to me to see so many detractors from the best point guard that we've had in years, or would you like to go back to the matt moloney era?

Love AB to death, but if Elite means the above, then he is not elite. However, he has given everyone of the players mentioned above the blues. The only guard who gives him some trouble is Rajon because he plays him rough and has crazy long arms.

Steve and Kidd have no chance at guarding him.

Once AB learns the mental aspects of when to shoot/pass he can ascend to the Elite level.

I would love to trade for Monta Ellis if given the chance, I wonder if people think he's elite?

HUH??? So if New Orleans came to you and said Paul for Brooks and let say Jeffries you would say NO? Rondo is a triple double waiting to happen and Rose isn't to far behind so come on, Brooks is darn good but.....

I will say he fits RA's offense really good and his shooting is really nice so replacing him would not be easy.

AB is a good player. But he's not even as good as Stephen Curry is in his rookie year. I'd still trade up for him. I'll happily take whatever wins he can get us in the meanwhile though.

Have you seen the system that stephon curry plays in?? Brooks would average 25 a night easy playing for the warriors.

He could average 25 a night with the warriors, but Curry would still be the better player.

That's your opinion, still my point is the list of players who affect a game the way that Brooks does is a short list, and getting shorter with each passing game.

And if a team is stupid enough or forced to trade someone on that list to the Rockets for Brooks..this board shouldn't get its panties wadded up.

I agree. I even believe next year with AB we can make the playoffs. But as for making it to the championships, I'm not sure he can convert it. He can help us come close, but he's not going to put us over the top, even with yao.

Come on, everyone on here except maybe you and DD would take the likes of Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Derrick Rose, even Russel Wesbrook over Aaron Brooks.

Lowry lovers would take Rondo too.
