This is really the dumbest post of the year... as if somebody is forcing you to spend time watching the Astros, or going to this part of the forum to post on the team.

I know there are countless fair-weather fans out there right now... that's what happens when a team is playing in the biggest event in the country right now. I don't recall seeing market square street parties, and having big screen projector screens set-up in every bar in Houston for that Brewers series back in July... we get it, Houston loves to bandwagon; your post didn't elucidate that any more than we already knew.

Why you felt the need to admit your faults, I don't know... perhaps you feel guilty, or maybe you're just tired of baseball taking coverage away from the Rockets and you felt like venting.

Whatever it is... in the future, I'd simply not log on to this forum or post something of this nature... if you're truly "sick" of baseball. Or, you could just follow teams in cities where there are no other sports... San Antonio, Sacramento, Portland, Utah... and maybe you won't have anything else to get "sick" of.

Then its only natural for you to defend the astros the way I would the Rockets, but bashing me because i'm admitting that i'm not a true baseball fan is uncalled for.

Yeah, terrible that there might actually be people out there that enjoy sports but don't have the time or interest level to be a "real fan".

If this is the dumbest post of the year then why are there numerous people on this very thread agreeing with the things that I said? I think you need to get your panties out of a wad, re-read the original post and realize that i'm not bashing the astros or baseball.

no prob, if you haven't notice, just about any thread I start get these kinds of responses, i'm good at that. :)

I should have renamed the title of this thread because people like nick see "i'm tired of baseball" and then their panties wad up before they even get a chance to read the content.

Dumb posts deserve to be ridiculed... and people admitting that they're bandwagon fans is, IMO, dumb.

I know you're not ridiculing the Astros... you're just saying you're not a true fan. Unfortuantely, some of us have the capability to root for more than one team, in more than one sport. In fact, the majority of true Houstonian sports fans have that ability... because this is a big city, with more than one sports team, and its been like that for quite some time now.

In the end, all Houston fans just need to chill and enjoy the moment... its good for the city no matter what.

A waste of a thread made even worse by the people who feel like they need to argue about it.
