Sure we need a rebounding center but a go to guy that can handle the ball and make the last minute decision beats that.

But do you remember that our rebounding center couldn't grab one rebound against the Jazz in the playoff in game 7? Did you remember our rebounding center was getting torch by Boozer on the defensive end and getting shut down by Okur on the offensive end?

Anyway, this team need to move on. Yes we really do need Tmac to come back healthy this season. But if not, we can live without him. Yao? Sure he brings size to this team but the team hasn't really been anywhere with him throughout his career and surely he cannot carry this team. He is a good player but he cannot carry this team at all. Yao Ming is the type of guy that needs other superstars on this team to help cover up his weakness. Tmac is a good player that can lead this team but it depends on if he can be healthy and play with this team. If he can fit into this system and he is healthy, our team will be good. Yao wouldn't fit into this new fast pace team at all. He will only slow us down.

Yes this team will need Tmac. He can fit into this system nicely and he is the playmaker that we need. He will make Ariza, Brooks, Chase, and Scola a lot better. Ariza can finally score much more efficient with Tmac playing on the court.

Yao will only slow this team down and clogged the lanes preventing anyone to drive in. Other bigs like Gasol know when to move out of the way when a player slashes. Plus Yao wouldn't fit well into this system. We will be back into that half court offense again and most of our players wouldn't be as good in the half court game. Yao will clog the lane up so players like Ariza and Lowry wouldn't be able to drive in and Yao isn't a great rebounder. He has a hard time boxing other players out. For a guy that is 7'5, he is a terrible rebounder. He has a hard time getting 10 rebounds a game. Sure he can score but that means that we have to stop our offense, slow everything down, wait for him to get into position, try to pass him the ball, let him get to work, hope that he makes his shot, and get back on defense. But now, most teams have Yao all figure out. Just put one guy behind him and one guy in front of him. When teams do that, Yao doesn't know what to do and our offense collapse. If this team wants to go far, we cannot afford that.

Teams have a hard time trying to slow down Tmac more than Yao. With Tmac, they have to find different players to chase him around, double him but since he is such a great passer, he will find an open player which cause problems for other teams. If they play him straight up, he will often beat his man and score so therefore, teams will have trouble trying to contain Tmac. With yao, they just front him and that's it.

Did Yao's goldenchild status ruin McGrady or what? McGrady was a great player against Dallas and Utah, but Yao's goldenchild status tarnished his image with the fans. Thanks Les.

This team is going nowhere without McGrady. The sure as hell ain't signing Joe Johnson in the offseason and can forget about anyother established play making guard or forward. As long as Yao's around, free agents are headed elsewhere.

This is why I had a T-Mac hate sig............ T-Mac has been holding the Rockets back for a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time. Some people can't realize this because they are just in love with his flash game that's it. It's goes to show you who here has played organized basketball and who hasn't. Anybody who likes T-Mac, probably didn't play, Anybody who doesn't like T-Mac probably did play organized Basketball.

I really don't understand why people think highly of T-mac anymore. He's a wuss that plays for himself.

.....and anybody that's been a true fan of a sports team would understand why people are still accepting of him. Unfortunately for your case, your loyalties and motives have been in question ever since you joined the board under your first 14 monikers. Just give it a break. Hateful, spiteful attitudes towards our players rarely gets you anywhere on this board. Your best bet is to stop being so "What have you done for me lately?" and just giving T-Mac a clean slate.

Yes, people being a McGrady fan means they haven't played organized basketball. People like you being a YOF, and having over 10 clutchfan names haven't even touched a basketball.

no way. Giving clippers Cook and Hayes for free is better than this deal.

Yes I'm a YOF. However, I will tell you there is more of a reason to be a Yao fan than a T-Mac fan. Everything we will remember about T-Mac will be about the regular season, everything we will remember about Yao will be about the post-season. Let's see, Do you want somebody that plays for the playoffs or the regular season? Tough choice there brah.

I'll take a Pass on that offer. I prefer bashing on T-Mac until he and his apologists leave.

lol lies. Making it out of the first round once in his career isn't going to get him remembered for his post season. He also missed a few post season games due to injury.

Ok, WeMissDeke, I know your crying inside because you got exposed. Your boy Yao can't take over games without McGrady, because he is the only ONE who can pass to him. Your not a Rocket fan, you are a YOF. Deal with it.

The moment we will remember Yao for if he were to retire today, is the Willis Reed moment he pulled in Game 1 of the Lakers-Rockets Series. The moment we will remember T-Mac for if he were to retire today, is either the 22 game win streak or the 13 points in 35 seconds. Which were BOTH regular season accomplishments.

I thought Alston did an adequate job of it, same with Battier. But it doesn't matter, when T-Mac is gone, I'll be happy. Oh and just for clarification it's You're Not a Rocket Fan.

Oh yea, you have been exposed again. I remember you always hating on Brooks because he couldn't give the ball to you, and your second favorite player was Lowry. Haha, whatsup WeMissDeke?

you're an idiot if you think tmac doesn't play for the playoffs. if you took 1 look at his playoff stats, you wouldn't dare say tmac doesn't play for the playoffs.

putting up 27, 8, and 7 in the playoffs while playing hurt = not playing for the playoffs? LOL.

Sorry but that is the biggest load of bull**** I've ever read in my life. I have played and coach organise Basketball for 15 years and I am one of those people who likes Tracy. I do see his flaws, but unlike clown like yourself, I don't blame one person for a teams success or failures.

How can people blame Tracy for us not making it past the first round, but not then say he is the reason those teams made the play-offs? If it his his fault in those years we failed in the first round, he must be the reason we made it that far.
