I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks Toronto will be good?

I doubt Lowry and 2 rookies will make Toronto a playoff team. None of the 8 playoff teams in the East got weaker (perhaps Chicago), so it's not like they're gonna ease right in to the playoffs. Washington will be a better team this year as well.

The east is finally getting better. They aren't the joke anymore like they used to be the past few years. They have 8-10 solid teams now competing for playoff spots and this is the first year in a while where the first team out in the west would NOT have made the playoffs in the east.

I am hoping for injuries to derail them. We nab a pick right around that protection cut off for their pick. Maybe the 5th pick next year. It could happen. Lowry didnt make it the whole year last year.

Lol this. I don't consider making the playoffs in the east a very difficult task. I mean I believe the bobcats were in the playoffs 2 years ago

    Additions: Jonas, Lowry, Ross, Fields
    Subtractions: Calderon?

Honestly, that is not a great offseason. Unless Jonas is an elite big at the age of 20, that pick is lotto imo.

I like Lowry a lot. His hustle/work ethic/rebounding is amazing.
    BUT:
    -He is an inconsistent shooter
-Tries to force too much as a playmaker
-Bulldozes through the lane looking for contact instead of trying to finish
    -Flops too much
-His man-to-man D has declined greatly in the past three years
-Gambles for steals way too often

I just don't think he is that much of an upgrade over Calderon (who is an outstanding shooter/playmaker).

There is a reason our team looked so much better with Dragic last season.

    knight

    prince
    maxiell
    monroe

is a good lineup too. see what I did there? just cause something looks decent on paper, doesn't mean they'll make the playoffs.

Adding Lowry to that team, makes them tougher, and better EASILY

They will probably be a playoff team

Tayshaun Prince is old, and Maxiell has been non-existant since he got paid

    The Raptors are better everywhere

You guys are sleeping on that Lithuanian kid( he is like Andrew Bogut 2.0)

Lowry, Jerryd Bayless, Amir Johnson, Ed Davis, Landry Fields

how are they Raptors NOT a playoff team( especially in the EAST)

Meh they are def not better than Chicago, Miami, Boston, NY, Philly.

Don't think they are better than NJ, Milwaukee.

Hell even Washington, Detroit look nicer.

    Wall
    Beal
    Ariza
    Okafor
    Nene

Great defensively and if Beal is the real deal, should be good enough offensively.

Can't take this post seriously. You clearly have a bias and you didn't even mention JV, who would have been the #1 pick thi draft over Davis.

But they are making the playoffs in the EAST ( unless the injury bug hits them)

You clearly have a bias because there is no way that is true.

    Bucks not a threat?

    Are you serious?

They had a solid team last season and just added Dalembert.

Derozan and Bargnani are terrible. Lowry couldn't take us to the playoffs. Doubt he'll be able to drag Jerryd Bayless and Ed Davis there.

If they end up trading for Iguodala though, Morey might have just given Lowry away for nothing.
